@@alexyau2809 You may need to update the browser. Netflix does not like older browsers, and kicks support for them after awhile for security reasons. Same with many other streaming services. Good luck!

Tried it. Didn't work for my hardware. Neverware Cloud Ready is the same and works incredibly well for me. Indeed I would say much better than Windows on an older PC. And if its a convertible well then you get a new Chrome tablet media consumption center out of it for free too: much much more than just web browser!

i cannot get through ubuntu installing updates. i've turned on the feature like you suggested, and after downloading ubuntu from the store it said i needed WSL version 2. so i managed to get it, also turned on "Virtual Machine Platform" feature in windows (this was needed too by ubuntu). Ubuntu can now start and terminal is working, but none of the commands you've listed is able to do anything, seems like repositories are unreachable. Im using Win 11 Pro 22H2

Hello, My sda disk has 5 partitions, Partition 4(sda4) is the one i want to install chrome os to. (Others have windows data) When i attempt 'sudo chromeos-install - dst /dev/sda4' command,i get error: "/dev/sda4 is not a valid disk name." If i choose sda, i will lose my windows data. Any suggestion how to install to sda4 partition only?

@@SnapMagic I tried to install it on my Lenovo 14ADA05 but even though I set the BIOS to UEFI, ChromeOS does not "see" the internal Ramaxel eMMC 64GB drive. It takes about 10 mins to rebuild the rootfs so trying all the BIOS combinations took hours and no success. I am sure it's a driver issue because Linux with kernel 5.13 can see it.

I guess the your system is still running on windows or any other OS, Follow the steps properly it will format everything so keep a back.

What about software updates? Once installed with certain version of chrome os, if i want to update to chrome os 9x from 8x for example, is it possible? If can’t, i would rather buy a Chromebook that’s y, its just that most chrome books doesn’t have 2in1 that’s y I’m planning to install on surface pro

@@SnapMagic sure thanks, will follow it up, currently using ipad and I use remote desktop often too, but ipad with keyboard is not much optimised so I'm planning to change to Chromebook 2 in 1 for better convenience as chrome os feels better than ipad os in terms of usability and accessing task as major web and desktop apps seem better in the chrome os

Only your drive will be cleared when you flash the drive, other than that nothing will happen.

We can change it to v103 we can do it, you can also try chrome os flex which is more light.

@@allanh242 okay so here's a problem with the script, the dst or destination command in the terminal shows that it works and it even succeeds but i found nothing as output in my output folder, the script either is broken or there's a problem in WSL. i actually made an image inside virtual machine with Linux mint. follow the same steps he did but in a VM, remember to keep the virtual hard disk of the VM at least 100 GB, then follow along the tutorial and hopefully you may get an image which is around 15 gb then just pass it through the VM into your windows desktop (enable drag and drop in the virtual machine settings and install the guest additions after successfully installing Linux Mint. its pretty easy if you know more or less stuffs about linux, let me know your progress I'll be glad to help ^_^

Tried with two different notebooks. No problems with the first one (a Dell XPS, Intel Core i7). at the contrary it does not work with the second one (Samsung pro 360 with Intel Evo i5), in this case It boots but then it remains stuck to the white "ChromeOS" screen. Any tip? thank you for your excellent work!

And then I tried makes into 3 partition, and then everything started to failed. I'm trying to downgrade w Chrome 100 rammus+Brunch 100, and then Chrome 93 sammus+Brunch 93. Thanks for this tutorial video, but it quite takes time and a lot of steps. Just download, copy to Linux Mint, boot, type only 1 code, and it automatically installs.

Hi can you please tell what code to type in Linux mint after copying the files. And we have to copy these three files brunch, Chrome OS and Rufus right?

I have followed your steps up to create the img file to subsequently install on a flash drive. In the final steps of this creation I got several error messages - "dd: failed to open 'p1': No such file or directory" (up to p11), I don't know whether this error is critical or not. As I have no free computer to install this OS, do you know whether it is possible to install the OS to an external usb hard drive and boot the computer from that drive? Tks for the info.

The errors did not occur with version 93, so don't try to use version 94. Besides the remaining question of installing Brunch Chrome OS to an external hard drive, I also wonder whether this non native version of Chrome OS runs updates or not, if not only reinstallation with a newer version of Brunch will get an updated OS.

Hi Bro, I need chrome os for Acer Aspire E5-522G AMD A8-7410 APU with R5 graphics, Suggest me the proper ROM, I have tried Zork, Grunt both which failed. Also RAMMUS failed. I also tried Bannon which too failed.
