I swear I felt like a Harley rider, I was rev bombing stop lights and neighborhoods like a mofo. lol Man that sound is addictive. This bike has exceeded all of my expectations. I did not realize a MT-07 would be this fun to ride, all of these years I missed out but I'm glad I held off on getting one until this new generation, I love the more modern look and all LED lights. They say the ECU is better too.

Excellent choice my friend. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I put the full akra on my Z1000, left the DB killer in thinking it didn’t make much difference. I literally rode up north this weekend and had it dyno’d. As a baseline I dyno’d 127 back in 2013 with the stock exhaust… Yesterday with the full system I dyno’d 72 horsepower. 🤬 I got home kind of pissed, came to terms, walked out and pulled out that DB killer and my god. The power, the sound… I didn’t know my bike was capable of sounding so good. I sold my self so short on that. Anyway i called the guy back and scheduled the re-dyno. I’m hoping he cuts me a deal the second time since he know’s I goofed on that one. Those MT-07’s sound like a BEAST with those akra’s man.

Had the dealer install mine the day I picked up my 2021. So I've had it for about 3500 miles. I like it. Sound could be better but maybe I need a tune for that

Just got mine out of the shop yesterday. Had the Dave Moss suspension tuning done, rear shock clicked up a little, came home and dropped in a sprint high flow filter with my vcyclenut flash. Also R6 tube was already on it. Man she rips love this bike and I also own an 09 as well. 07 will be on the track next month

You like this bike so much and it fits your use case so perfectly that I see you keeping this forever as you are on track to do with your supermoto. You may have to buy a third bike later as the bike you rotate through the fleet to keep content fresh.

Everybody turns their heads thinking it is a harley because of the sound. lol I'm even starting to act like Harley riders , rev bombing everywhere, even on the highway. haha This sound addictive!

Awesome install video but I like the TOCE exhaust way better.

If you don't want the O2 wire twisted, try twisting it in the opposite direction and then installing it and it should reach the OEM hook!

Actually, if you look at where the o2 sensor was on the stock pipe it was further away than where it is on the akra pipe. You still have to use a ziptie.

You should change also the air filter and get a racing one, it makes a lot of difference

Cruza, you gotta get an R6 throttle tube already. Just slap that new tube on and the bike will be transformed for 30 dollhairs. It’s the top first mod in any FZ/MT forum for a reason.

Have an MT07 2017 with akra (full + no baffle), greatest sound in the 600-700cc classe for sure! Hard to find a next bike (+-900cc) with that deep sound xP

That exhaust not only looks good, but it also sounds good!!! Question: how do you know how much torque you're applying to the bolts or nuts when you're doing that?

Look at you bonding with your new bike, I told that zero fairings = pleasure working on the bike by the way I was wrong the new sound is better.

I have the titanium exhaust & the baffle is really easy to remove . It just one screw holding it on, all I have to do is pull it out.

The spiral in the pipe is for helping to evacuate the gases from the system, rather than for back pressure. Back pressure is actually not good for the engine, contrary to popular belief. So therefore, having the highest flow rate possible allows for max gains.

The YAMAHA MT07 for being one of the best brands in the world, for its prestige and for what it represents among bikers, must have 3 elements that other brands have incorporated into their models of the same or similar displacement, such as: Reverse bars, clutch anti-rebound and Quickshifter.

nice exhaust meat, I had mine today and went to my garage to install it but I'm having trouble install the new headers and I measured the new akra headers and the original one and there is about 0.7cm difference and I had to install the stock exhaust again 😔

Use trimmer line from a weed wacker for those spring hooks 100% better then the tool

It seems even more punchier now, I was shocked how punchy it felt on the highway with it modded. This bike is seriously fun, it was fun stock but now even more so. I never thought that I would love riding the mt-07 as much as I do. This is a keeper along with my YZ.

With the power vision 3 device do u need a power commander. I have a 22 zx10r I have the ecu flashed through brentuning but I need my air/fuel ratio tweaked to Make sure it's straight not running Rich or to Lean

Those exhaust gaskets if metal or copper rings are a one time use gasket. I’m sure it will be fine but for future reference it isn’t about the age of the bike. Surprised for the cost of that exhaust they don’t supply you with new gaskets.

The bike sounds way better with the new exhaust.

When I put it on I was like " DOH!!" I left the baffle in. lol I did not feel like messing with those springs again with a needle nose plier. I ordered a hook tool, as soon as I get it, I'll remove the baffle and do a comparison video. However, even with the baffle in it is sounds proper. However, I would like more air flow and make it even louder to rev bomb stop lights even more. lol I feel like a Harley d-bag now, now I understand why Harley riders do that, this sound is addictive. This bike sounds like a freaking Harley. I need to buy some chaps now. haha j/k
