Good afternoon, I have the lift columns turned and bolted down. The platform is flat when in one position. What happens is the entrance will settle but the front hangs up. Do you think it could be the cables not being the same length? I think I say you measure and reset the lengths? Thanks Dave

when it sat flat on the floor we just tightened the cables till they were snug. everything worked fine.

@@JUSTTRYITDIY that’s what I did but it still hangs up on the back end and will not settle to the bottom. Very frustrating. Any ideas? Thanks Dave

Just got this lift (different brand but clearly the same) and half way through installing. You've done a great job of highlighting all the things i was scratching my head over that the instructions dont really cover very well. . I made the error of putting the top caps on the wrong way the first time . Also, was confused about the extra little pulley!

thanks for this video...a huge help I bought mine used and have been wanting to go through it. you the man!

Hope everything turned out. Having a car lift is a huge benefit

This is by far the best video describing in details the assembling of the hoist. Please inform, what is the make of the lift? Is it Atlas? It seams to be well designed.

This was an install for a friend. The lift was a Forward Lift 4-Post. Model# EFP8P000M

Raise empty lift enough for it to lock on the first lock. Use level and level using nuts on locking ladders. Lower lift. Put a car on lift, raise lift about two feet off the ground making sure not to allow it to lock but rather let it hang on the cables in the middle of two locks. Level the runways and cross bars again, only using the cable and nuts to do so. Done

Thank you I have been struggling with my lift install. The instructions are really not very helpful.

@@dave5833 I believe we bleed everything at the tank, we didn't need to bleed the cylinders.
