@@PP3D He sure did and he cleaned the stock..so people are just hanging in no man's land, people who have already purchased it and waiting for shipping and stock to arrive.. they not gonna get theirs.. because this Santa is gonna go nuts in supplying the world of curling kids who has been swiped all their life with X2's. freaking unreal.

how did you remotely control your camera in a shopping mall? did you have wi fi connection or did you have something else to remotely control your insta?

Exposure has always been the hardest thing for a 360° camera. It looks like the One X2 does a great job. Thanks Ben!

Thanks Ben. A lot of comments on the Pureshot. It seems to have some good points, but overall I'm not as impressed with its sharpness (the staircase and christmas tree). But you use Pureshot to compare it to the other cameras. I'm curious if you could do a comparison where you take the "sharpest" mode for each camera (even if it uses a different (longer) workflow).

Hey Ben, I ordered the ONE X2 before Christmas, should arrive early in the New Year. You have inspired me to take it to the QVB - it is a great subject. When the first version of the ONE X was discontinued I was hugely disappointed because I love the skinny form factor. The ONE R doesn’t attract me so much. I was very happy when the “2” version was released. Thank you for your inspiration to lead me into my own 360 journey. We are both fortunate that Sydney is very photogenic to make the most of these great cameras.

Great review, despite not being filthy rich and already owning the oneX I took the plunge and bought the onex2. I've been very happy with the improvements in the photo mode. One question to the community, has anyone had issues with the stick on lens protectors and video stitching? I have found this to be incredibly poor. (Bought the lens guards as I've damaged 1 too many cameras 😔)

Thanks very great Video. I upgraded to the X2 from the X1 especially for the new Audio Modul. That was not possible with the X. Also I find the Display a big big thing. No more fiddeling arround with mobile phones to check if you are in the right mode or fast check the angle.

Thanks Ben, what I'm really trying to figure out is how to process a RAW/dng file anything other than 'flat', I can't see any way to achieve ie a tiny planet shot in dng. I have the app, Studio and Lightroom. Connected to this is love to see you expand beyond mainly comparison and feature updates to some basic how-to content too. That kind of thing people will always look for even after the new shiny update rave had worn off. Cheers

Last video you are right it is not big upgrade from one r, just in little things that if you didn't buy camera before , but not for people who already buy One R , if only they more photos about they must be unlike to be hurry in past ...so it is always things it is good that new and newer comes cameras

Hi Ben. I always enjoy your videos so many thanks for doing them. I have an EVO but would like to view the videos in VR running from my laptop. Unfortunately due to the size of my EVO videos the stitching takes many, many hours and the file size is absolutely huge! It is impractical 😢. Is there a good 360 camera that has an output that is automatically stitched together and in a recognised format eg mp4? Or am I stuck with many hours of stitching and huge files with all cameras? Keep putting out great 360 content! I have the original one x I want water proofing since I’ll use it for snowboarding this winter. GoPro max? X2? Or something I don’t even know about? Also thinking about waiting since I have the one x maybe wait until GoPro comes out with a new one?

Hey Ben, great video! Regarding mobile workflow, is it possible to edit the pure shot raw file with snapseed? I guess it should be if it's dng. I don't own a X2 otherwise i would just try it out myself ;-)

Great vids. What's the video quality and photo quality really like? KZread can be decieving with artifacting and stream quality. My old Gp7b footage looked SO much better until I put it on KZread. Hi thanks for the very informative video. But I still don't understand what exactly is the difference between HDR, night mode and pureshot. They all seem to be sort of multi exposure mode, but what is the exact difference in how they are made? Pureshot indeed seems to have best dynamic range, specially in highlights. But in your examples I seen some pretty extreme color and compression artefacts (in pureshot mode only). I did not hear you adress it.

Can you make a video to show how to view One X2 footage on the Quest 2? I tried copying the video and photo files from the One X2 to the Ques 2 using the USB-C cable. I even downloaded the Skybox VR video player on the Quest 2. However, the picture and video files are not playing on the Quest 2. Please help.

Does the Insta360 One X2 use Flowstate stabilization in Intervalometer 360 photos mode to do horizon lock? I currently use the Insta360 One X in video mode for Google Street View because video mode does horizon lock, and photo mode doesn’t. But extracted photos from video mode are much lower quality than photo mode for Google Street View. If the Insta360 One X2 does photo horizon lock, then I can go back to using photo mode without the time consuming leveling processing I was doing.

GoPro FX reframe in Premiere

Thanks Ben, another great video. I'm interested in getting one of these. Anyone know where I can download some still 360 images taken with an x2. I have an Oculus Riff and would like to see the quality before I buy one. Video I can get from KZread but photos are harder to find.

Pureshot is in the camera or the app, you don't need Photoshop etc

You should start this video with the still shot of your June 20 comparisons, and then end with it placing the x2 in the picture
