I had 3 GoPros that I sold this year - nothing but frustration with the freeze-ups, over-heating, not recording, and having to remove the battery to get the cameras to function again. I have been using the Insta360 One R and One X2 and getting great results with motorcycle videos. No going back to GoPro after using those cameras for a couple years. I did buy the Go 3 and it has been 100% reliable, much easier to use than the GoPros I had, faster to mount in place, and great Inst360 app. I did not have the experience you relate with any GoPro and quit using them long before I sold them. For the record, I bought my Go 3, and don't have enough views or subscribers for Insta to even notice. I haven't posted a review of the camera (not what I do), but I have done several motorcycle videos. I agree with you that there has been a lot of "sponsored hype" with the Go 3... but most of what is being said has proven to be accurate for my use. Glad that GoPro is working for you... but you might give a Go 3 an honest try before you dismiss it as "not as good." There is more to the user experience and end results of any action camera than resolution... especially when most viewers are watching these videos on a phone or tablet. I'm all for the right tool for the job... and rather than turn this into a junior high playground argument (like at the end of your video) or a Ford vs Chevy diatribe, I can see where the GoPro, DJI, and Insta360 can each have their supporters without the others being considered "junk." Having an opinion isn't necessarily the same as honesty.

I sense a lot of hate in something you haven't even got your hands on. Been using GoPro 10s for my filming work, replaced like 10 swollen batteries (and counting) over the span of 2 years. I am more than willing to try out new things especially one that has more flexibility than GoPro has ever done in their 10 years of "action camera" making. It almost seemed like I'm more action than the GoPro itself, and for someone who just wants to film contents for Tiktok and IG, what the GO 3 provides is more than enough. No one's recording a freaking Tiktok on 5.3K we aren't doing Steven Spielberg stuff

I guess my question is do you own a Go 3? If not, then how can you knock something that you don't even have? Just because a bunch of social media giants gave something good reviews does not automatically mean it's not true. I own a Hero 11, Action 2, as well as the new Go 3 and have owned pretty much all the prior version cameras of each whether it's GoPro, Insta360, or DJI and all have both positives and negatives for different reasons. So many factors go into the reasons why a person my buy a particular camera from size, brand loyalty, ease of use, and the list goes on and on.....but to make a blanket statement trashing a specific camera because of hype? Come on now, don't be petty. Most of the major influencers make so much money that they could care less whether they get something for free or not so the argument that they won't give bad reviews to companies they get free products from for fear of not getting free items in the future falls flat.

I don't own it. But I watched like .. 30 videos with example footage. I also follow Phillip Bloom who was given the go3 and possible sponsorship to do a video, but refused the sponsorship because of many issues he had using the camera... (He mentioned all this on a Facebook post)... Even before he posted... My gut told me the camera is likely garbage and gimmicky. All in all it's my opinion on the camera 🤷‍♂️

Hard to really say dont buy this product so mater of fact if you havent actually tried it yet, only time will tell once the non sponsored reviews come out. But it is a great thing to point out that all of the reviews right now are paid for as the average person might not know that. I think the majority of people looking at this camera arent really looking for a go pro replacement there are distinct advantages to both of them.

best part about the Hero 11 for me is what you can do with the GoPro Labs firmware on it, including such things as increasing the bitrate to a max of 200mbps, turning down the noise reduction, adjusting the logbase to get an even flatter look out of camera, using a wide color gamut, and more. You can't get 200mbps 10-bit log footage out of any Insta360 camera or out of the DJI Action 3. I just wish that GoPro would embed the uncompressed "raw audio" in the video file rather than recording them separately as *.wav files.

Had the Go 3 for 2 days before returning it because of image quality. Keep in mind, my only experience with action cameras were GoPro Hero 6 and a Dji Osmo Pocket which I briefly used because after awhile the size just wasn't worth it to me and what I do. The mounting systems were annoying as well at the time. I stumbled upon a few videos that the Dji Action 2 was better because of image quality and that the overheating issue was fixed with the magnetic case. I ended up getting the Action 2 and loved the design but after 2 days of use that thing got annoying. The software is trash for starters and with the 28gb of internal storage, it would run out relatively quickly recording at 4K 30p and obviously quicker at 60p+. It was either storage or battery that would go out before you would have to reattach it to the other module to recharge/transfer files. When transferring the videos to my phone with the Dji app, the download would stop when the screen turned off! Also, to attach the camera module to the magnetic necklace, there was actually 2 pieces which I kept misplacing throughout the day. When I did have it attached to the necklace and I was doing basic things like setting up my truck for camping/offroading, it would easily get knocked off and the Action 2 is something you don't want to drop often since you can't repair the screen or lens without sending it in. And with it being made out of metal, I started treating it like an smartphone which is dumb for an action camera. The small form factor is what some people are looking for and that's ok. I ended up getting the Go 3 again and agreed the image quality isn't great compared to other action cameras but the awesome software, post options, long battery life, and the small form factor is what sold me. I have literally forgot multiple times I was wearing it on the necklace. Trip to Ikea with the GF, attaching it to my dog for our walks, or sticking it to the side of my truck when I'm offroading, it's the "set it and forget it" that sold me. I don't want to have to "deal" with issues paying more money for batteries, cage, etc just to battle the heat issue of a GoPro. If I was that serious about that footage I would just get my Fujifilm out. Other additional great software features: -It'll automatically turn on and start recording at a designated time -Freeframe feature records unfortunately at 1440 but it allows me to decide later if I want have a 9:16 or 16:9 aspect ratio and adjust with panning if subject isn't centered -Can connect to the Go 3 without turning it on. This saves battery while reviewing footage since the screen, camera, etc are all off -Software is quick and easy allowing you to make a quick video while on the go There's many other features I love about it and as of writing this, I just got an alert in the Insta360 app that there's a firmware update that improves image quality and stabilization. Two firmware updates in less than 2 weeks? Not bad.

The purpose of the go line is a low-profile life blogging or travel camera. If you have the space for action camera and use it for sport, then get a action camera. However if you own action cameras for a while, you want a smaller 2nd camera on top of an action camera.

The video quality on Go 3 is not that trash. I'd not wearing my Action 3 to supermarket but Go 3 is fine. No one aware I have a camera on me with Go 3.

I really appreciate the honesty, Vu! Once I realized that the majority of content creators don't actually use any of the products they endorse, I stopped watching their BS videos. Somehow, every video is about them switching to this new amazing product, just to see them upload a video a week later about how they are switching back to their old gear. 🤣

I needed a light/small camera, I bought a light/small camera. If it's not for you, it's not for you. Simple as that. For the record I would have preferred to buy the GO 2 but obviously production has ceased and getting a new one is impossible. Buying one used from some goober is also out of the question for me. As an action cam, I agree, there are far better options for less money, but for what I do, it's the only thing available.

You're absolutely right about the hype- but for certain uses, the Go3 size makes it useful for a specific set of uses than anything since the smaller Sony Action Cams were available. Just another tool for the toolbox.

True that! Never got a Gopro because of those reliability issues (freezing and co.) and I know there are users that don't have any of that. The problem is that I dont trust it because it might happen to me. It's a statistics thing I guess. Might be only my fears acting up but the way I use my action camera is doing motorcycle travels in foreign countries. Locations that by definition do not allow a reshoot. Some places I stay only for a night or simply visit passing by. I use the camera daily for a month or two, then keep it on storage on the shelf untill I'm able to travel again. Got a friend that didn't have the time to stay the night and only visited Marrakech (Morroco) for a few hours. Everything fine untill he got to the next hotel at night and discovered the all the videos from the card were lost due some camera issue. Camera froze before checking in and lost all the videos from that day. So imagine that! For now I will keep my existing Sony FDR X3000 action cam, because it never froze and game me other problems. It always works. There are a lot of considerations before going for a model and it all depends of how do you use it, how dependable it is and, most important, how the camera itself won't get in your way. I'm a "set it and forget it" type of person as I don't do pro work. Just want to document my travels and share them with my audience. Visited Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, but I'm from Europe... so it's easy to do that. PS: love the color grading you did on this video!

I have a GoPro, insta one R, Insta go 3. Why? Which is better? I think the Go3 works great because it’s small and easy for mounting during my ride and run. It’s also much lighter. The only disadvantage is the battery life but I think for its size and weight, it’s fair.. I will still go for my gopro for situation when I don’t mind carrying the extra weight and volume. I do understand as you are using a cam for fishing… you will prefer a GoPro. Nothing wrong with that but it appears you need to come out from your cave and see the real world.

Definitely overhyped but still pretty cool. I have an osmo action and a bunch of batteries for it. I love that thing. I like the size of this Go3 and with the added magnet option pretty cool for different shots which I found myself currently using my iPhone and Ohsnap back to do but some times my phone falls this definitely is a cool back up and interesting little B-roll camera.

what camera do you recommend between fx3 and as73? I noticed most of your videos u say gear I use is AS73

Their 360 cameras are pretty cool. I think my Hero 8 still probably works well enough for most people. Only gotten a little time thanks to work with my X-S20. Fuji might actually have usable autofocus

Gopro max is also a 360 camera and in my opinion its better than insta for using 360 mode

Actually, this camera is very special, but it is certainly not an action camera. I bought Go 3 12 days ago, and i had to take it back to the shop for many problems. The major one is overheating, never mentioned by any KZreadr. At this occasion, i could test the customer support : Very reactive and very good support. I selected this camera, because i want to be discreet when filming in the street. On this point, i am not disappointed. The main problem of this camera is its price, really too high for the specifications : No 4K, no 360°, no external mic, no gimbal, no horizon lock at 2.7K, no SD card slot, no battery replacement and an average image quality, less than my DJI Pocket 2 in 2.7k.

So you don't have one? You're saying because Philip decided not to do a sponsored video you're not going to get one? Some of the vids I've watched some say they're not sponsored. I can only go by what they're saying about not being sponsored just like you're going by what Philip said. How about this, get one and use it then see for yourself if you yourself like it and if not then return it. You literally said a billion people has reviewed it but you go by the OPINION of one person and not see for yourself. They do have a return policy. Price is a little high though.

That fishing spot looks epic! What state are you in? I ordered the Go3 as soon as it was released. The 1440P footage looks just as good as my GoPro Hero 10's 5.3k. Goes to show that's nothing but a gimmick from GoPro. The 11 is definitely better with it's 10 bit footage but it's really close. They all look like trash but I don't think the GoPro's image quality is that much better. Also the Go3 doesn't overheat at all, I had it running for 4 hours attached to a battery bank. I was trying to attach the Hero 10 onto my camera or set it up off to the side to record BTS of photoshoots and it would overheat in 30 min so it went in the junk bin pretty quick. I think the Go3 definitely earned a spot in my bag since it can run 160 min on the battery and then basically forever if it's plugged in.

@@nVuFilms Yeah idk I think people are just exporting with their phone or something and leaving sharpening on high and not choosing a good export codec. Even Casey Neistat's footage looked bad. You can export the footage from it in prores 422 on the desktop app. That's another thing that sucks though you have to pull the footage into their desktop or phone app first before it's usable if you select the highest quality mode. I haven't tried it outside yet but it definitely doesn't seem to overheat indoors. 2.5 hours is usually enough battery life for me but yeah it does suck that it's internal. I would always get pissed the gopro battery would die in less than an hour though.

I have no issue with tubers doing sponsored vids, they have to pay the bills somehow. But I have found myself unsubscribing from quite a few, as almost every video they do is trying to sell me something😢. Keep up the great work...

I do have an issue with channels doing sponsored content - once you go that route, the channel is untrustworthy - plenty of channels are agenda free, I’m all for it and will support them.

The one's I hate most are theobvious liars that have the nerve to say that it's not a sponsored video even though they received the camera for free weeks before the official lunch. Before making a purchasing decision one needs to wait for a few months in order that the real world users start to appear. Camera manufacturers cannot be trusted as all of them tend to release unfinished products for witch you have to be the tester, but with your own money.

Have you tried the Insta360? I think you should give it a chance. For me, it is a really decent cam, and it adhere to my needs better than the GoPro, which I own 4 of them. And I love them. And I didn't get any of my cams for free. I have paid top dollar for all of them. I love your channel, and I hope you don't get offended, but I think you should try it before you discard it... Just a thought.

I went with the DJI action 2, form factor being the most important thing (fpv drones). I am considering a gopro 11 for offroading though, since trips can be long and swapping batteries would solve that.

Thanks for this view. When I looked at all the available footage, the camera should be called Insta360 Stay 3 instead of Go 3. I say this because, once the camera is stationary, the footage is quite good ... at least good enough for me. However ... and this is a BIG however ... I noticed repeatedly that once there was a subject in the centre of the scene moving towards surrounding scenery, the surrounding scenery was like a 1990s first person video game where initially there was no detail and blockiness and then suddenly you see detail and then the cycle repeats again. So I think the camera works for static or slow moving scenes or scenes that do not present a busy changing view. However, not the best for fast action ... which I thought was meant to be one of the strengths of the camera.

Agree with mostly with what you are saying, and is true there is lots of hype for these pocketable cameras. I mostly tell people if the current camera you have already serves your needs don't buy them. Also, I think the price to value over of theses action cameras are ridiculous, many of them are over priced IMO. So yeah be careful buying.

Kuya, brother, when you put your lut on the video it looked amazing! My heart was happy and my day was brighter from the beautiful color! Then you put "Final adjustment", that was just a dark grey and made the rest of the entire video look exactly the way the world looked when I had clinical depression. Why destroy beauty with a grey colorless sadness that makes me want to watch Anchor Man and not laugh? I was going to volunteer at a charity today but after that "Final correction" I may tell them to F-off. You had perfection and destroyed it like Godzilla on Tokyo, kuya. Now I think I may start day-drinking again and just pass out. Thanks a lot, kuya. Oh, and Go pros overheat constantly in warmer climates and if I have to tighten one more locking bolt I am going to lose it. Go 3 all the way for me! You're wrong: the point of the Insta360 Go 3 is not image quality, it's the incredibly tiny size of the camera itself - virtually the size of a thumb! It can go into spaces that even a GoPro can't fit in. So, if you cut into that POV for just that shot, resolution is not that critical an issue. The Go 3 abslutely has a valid place in the arsenal of any video maker!

So, which action cam, smart phone, dslr or just anything anything put on KZread is not a "hype KZread" camera or gadgets?

I preferred the GoPro image before post… good thing with 10bit that can be tweaked to my liking. But standard is becoming more and more something I use in these newer cameras. The difference sometimes isn’t worth the work

Well not waste my time or money

I like my go 3, but I dont love it especially for the price. It’s good for outside vlog on a sunny day for pov but the video quality is just “ok” and terrible in low , dim, or even at the gym. I bought it for walking around and hiking so it good for that. But the video quality could be better.

You are absolutely correct

Low light performance from this camera is vastly superior to hero 11 or action 2-3. Sensor size is the same but its megapixel count is much lower. That result in much bigger pixel. bigger pixel = better low light performance. Its also bigger aperture vs action 3 or hero 11 as well(2.2 vs 2.8).

Lmfaaooo... It's sensor is the size of an ant. There is a lot that goes into image quality and low light other than aperture. I've seen enough footage from it to know that the go3 is trash. You can't convince me otherwise 😂😂🤦‍♂️

@@nVuFilms and yet it produce much better low light videos than both hero 11 and action 3. Sensor size is small but if there aren't as much megapixel, the pixel is still bigger. Think of it in terms of box and marbles. If the box is small but there's three marbles, the marbles will be big. If the box is slightly bigger but with 27 marbles like for example hero 11 black has 27 megapixel, then each individual marbles will be smaller. Bigger pixel absorb more lights. ​@nVuFilms So, you think that watching videos on KZread beats actually trying out the camera yourself? My experience is that a lot of the posted videos are incompetently done (lots of overexposure, use of high sharpening settings), and are rendered at bitrates way lower than camera bitrates, etc. I can make any camera look bad, and most cameras I can make the video look good, by paying attention to their limitations. All broadcast TV shows are seen in resolutions lower than 2.7K, and people dont complain. Just a few years ago people argued that 4K is not important relative to FullHD; they couldnt see the difference. I dislike these paid influencers too, but equally I am not impressed by a review of a camera by someone who never used it.

I bought 2 action 2 cameras for the price 0f that garbage, I get 30 minutes and just swap and charge and get nearly 3 hours which is enough 4 me. The go 3 cost £20 to make and 3 million for the shills

Forget your fx3 and other Sony cameras, I suggest you sell one of these cameras and buy yourself a decent mic. Also it will good to get some lessons on how to fix audio during editing. By the way thanks for tips.

To show mic quality, you could have used on camera mic for minute or so but recording whole video, doesn’t make any sense to me. Anyway, it’s just my opinion. Thank you

I think that the Image Quality is good, but with the Battery and the other points its makes sense to buy a other camera. If you read this comment, what do you think about the Insta 360 One RS with Boost Lense? Battery can be changed and it is 4k 60fps

It’s impossible and irresponsible to offer a creditable suggestion or review for a product that you haven’t used or owned. Regardless of what you’ve watched. I’ve owned both and they serve completely different purposes. If you are ONLY making FPV videos and leverage your content primarily on this type of content you might benefit from better dynamic range and a higher resolution, IE the GoPro. The insta360 go however has some incredible design features that are extraordinarily useful such as loop recording, voice activation, the flip up monitor and just sheer size to name a few. You lose some you gain some. Footage can upscaling footage to 4K on an ipad with DaVinci resolve. This would eliminate most concerns for quality if you intend on posting to a larger platform like KZread.

@@tjrick tell that to the KZreadrs that bashed the GoPro during their Go 3 review. I saw a lot of BS on KZread on go 3 launch day. ... Especially when Phillip Bloom turned down a paid sponsorship because he thought the go 3 was so bad he couldn't do a video for it . Phillip Bloom does the most thorough review on cameras. His reviews are usually 30-45 mins long.

seems Insta360 shot themselves in the foot, so to speak. The reason: Not going mainstream of building a 4K camera. The main reason we buy camera gadgets is to get good quality recordings. If Insta360 had only built their Go 3 slightly larger to accommodate the larger sensor and/or other component to create 4K, then, they would have created a winner. Who knows, maybe in the future Insta360 will get their act in gear. Meanwhile, this leaves the door open for another mfg., DJI and or GoPro, to do what Insta360 didn't do and create a small 4K camera in the Insta360 Go 3 form factor.

isn't the whole point of the go is that it is extremely light weight and small? Not sure how much bigger the thing will be if they bump it up to 4k, but i'm would guess too big since they didn't go with it.

@@shojitakashima2910 It's also a fact that the higher bitrates/processing needed for 4K creates a lot more heat. The Go series cameras are popular in my sport for POV and the guys running GoPros in a match at 40ºC/full sun last week all had thermal shutdowns in their first runs, the guys running Go2 got through two runs before thermal shutdown, the guys with Go3 got 5 runs before thermal shutdown. That better heat management matters for some of the same exact stuff this small camera is meant for. 4K is of course great, but not if you can't actually record that way due to heat.

I don’t think people are buying this for the best image quality out there it’s because of the small size less bulky when doing actual action sports not fishing haha. Think surfing and snowboarding. My insta360 x3 is badass battery last forever and won’t freeze out on you when below freezing when riding.

Honestly i like & stull use my GoPro Hero 9 but i can not stand using the gopro mount system. Takes too long to get it all setup. At least with the dji action 3 & insta 360 go 2 & are magnetic mounts. Why are a lot of people fixed on having the best quality? Oh it’s not 4 k… must be trash. Get over yourself. Audio is more important than resolution quality. Everyone has a prefrence. No camera is peefect. The insta go 3 iv very versitile & can fit in tiny places where a gooro cant. Plus the Fo 3 doesnt over heat. The Go 3 doesnt need multiole batteries to carry with. If anythi g just carry annexternal battery bank. Knock on the Go 3 then knock on every canera out there.

I just got the go 3. It’s amazing. You may want to try it!

Funny how you review something you do not have. Imo during your video you showed multiple downsides to the gopro the go3 doesn't have. I own one and i am telling you from first hand experience. You will love it. Its lightweight, has great quality and you can put it anywhere (like make some really funny shots). Also the battery life is fantastic. I don't think you can really review something you do not have. I am not sponsored and i am keeping this thing on my all the time.

You cant compare a gopro hero 11 with a go3 lol . Compare it with the ONE RS . And i have a friend who always uses gopro and sometimes its overheating , losing data etc etc. I personally using Insta360 Cams since the first Insta 360 ONE and i gotta tell you that they are better than gopro. Innovation is what Insta360 is all about. But talking about gopro vs insta360 is the same as apple and samsung 😂

I decided to ignore your trash talk and went ahead to buy the Insta360 Go 3 camera. I paid for it with my hard earned cash and it's actually quite a good camera for it's category. Why not borrow a friend's camera and take it for a spin so you can give a more educated opinion instead of just trashing it because they didn't send you a free one to review.

Yeah its way overpriced for what it is. If it was like $150 I’d consider one to fuck around with and maybe use it for BTS reels but other than that I dont think its that useful.

Lol! I have gopro11 and i just bought GO 3 and all i can say is, you want views for people searching about Insta360 go 3 within buying it, good strategy though. BUT, you're making a big mistake for saying DON'T BUY it because of HYPE. I am more happy using my GO 3 than GoPro11, technically i can do more things now.

So you have seen video's on KZread that say it's a crap camera and you take that to make your own video to tell people you saw people doing reviews that say it was bad? I don't own a GoPro 11 or the Insta360 Go but this was a lame video dude. I've done some research and the Insta360 has a few benefits (and downsides) compared to the go pro. The battery life on the Insta360 is insane compared to GoPro, downside is that when your down with you battery (2 ~ 2.5 hours of recording) your Insta is dead. Most people don't film that long in one session so the battery life is amazing. The footage itself is not as good as the GoPro 11, i'll give you that but it has other benefits like being magnetic and really really small. GoPro sells all kinds of add ons, the Insta360 is a complete package. The GoPro Quick app is garbage and takes ages to connect to the GoPro. Overheating is a big issue with the Go Pro You need to see the products as different camera's and respect what they try to do. Every camera has it's downside and the points you say MAY be valid but you frame it as the absolute truth without testing the product itself. You sound like a 90s kid bashing Nintendo because Sonic is the best.

What's the difference with me watching reviews and concluding that it's an overhyped camera and you "doing your own research" to tell me otherwise. .. I don't care if you agree with me or not... But this is my channel and I'm gonna share my opinion on this particular topic. Insta360 go3 footage is horrible. I own insta360 products. I have an RS 1 inch sensor 360 and RS 1 inch action cam and the 4k RS action cam. Footage is terrible (even the 1 inch sensor) IMO. I use these cameras for hours at a time. GoPro image quality is worth its other technical flaws for me.

Both have different advantages and disadvantages i think “don’t buy it” is a little too aggressive.
