Hello Julian, thank you for all your reviews on recent small cameras. Although you cover a broad spectrum of their functionality and uses, I'm not sure I understood correctly (certainly due to my lack of English) during a walk on an uneven path (hollows and bumps) which cameras are not subject to bounce along the Z axis...? I tried with a DJI Action 4 (in 4k 24FPS + RockSteady+ + Horizon balancing) and a DJI Pocket 3, and I am not at all satisfied with the result during my walk on a forest path, the 2 cameras provide videos which bounce clearly along this “Z” axis. All the dozens of videos that I have viewed on YT do not mention it and hide this stabilization gap by only presenting very short sequences which did not allow me to detect them (well done on their part)! You are almost the only one to have clearly presented this flaw in the stabilization, thank you for that. You mention Insta360 cameras which would not be subject to this defect, or very little; and this is where I am not sure I have correctly understood your comment for the stabilization of Insta360 (your video extract is also too short for me to form a clear opinion), are also subject to this bounce ? All Insta360 cameras or only those that capture 360° (One RS 360°, X3, Insta360 One RS 1-Zoll 360 Edition...)? Please tell me about your expertise. In fact, I'm not trying to film myself in V-Log, but to record the path taken during walks to illustrate discussions between friends. I prefer not to have to worry about framing, I then attach the camera (Action 4) to my chest and start recording and don't worry about it anymore, just occasionally, a few shots with the Pocket 3 to enhance recording the walk. But the result is not satisfactory for my taste :-( I ordered a spring-mounted gimbal for the DJI Pocket (1,2,3) which is supposed to reduce this rebound by up to 30%, I will judge its effectiveness upon receipt. Now, if you confirm to me that the Insta360 are much less subject to this rebound phenomenon during normal walking on uneven terrain (classic forest path) I will move towards the acquisition of an Insta360 One RS Twin Edition and /or an Insta360 One RS 1-Zoll 360 Edition. If I understood correctly, on the Insta360 One RS Twin Edition, you can use internal stabilization or do it in post? My last resort would be to try to reduce the bounce in post processing using software? What software tool would allow me to achieve this? hi Cedy, sorry for the super late reply. Yes, all cameras will suffer from the Z-axis bouncing because cameras like the Pocket 3 are limited to 3 axis stabilization. I read that you didn't have good results with the Action 4, and that one has electronic stabilization which is very similar to the ones that insta360 have. It's suppose to minimize the z-axis bouncing but they have a limit on what they can do. If you walk around like you always do, there will be some bouncing involved. hope that the spring device helped

I see you point about what it matters! Im not an avid action camera user neither like to do a lot of editing so looking for normal city travel use with loved ones and for our trip to iceland in autumn. Would you suggest x3 or go3? TIA!!😊😊

Iceland is on my bucket list and in my opinion I would advice to invest a bit more on your new camera to get better shots. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy. The X3 is a good option but only as a complementary camera. I’d take the Ace Pro, the Action 4 or the Pocket 3. The Go3 as a main camera on Iceland is not my top choice (unless I have a main camera with me) and that’s because of the resolution and the place that you intend to use it. Although size and weight are a plus, and if you don’t mind about resolution then it would be fine

hi, so just as I said in the video, it will depend on the tasks that I want to accomplish. In my case I like high quality in most cases, so the Ace Pro probably would stay in my bag more

I want to give myself I gifted, I used to have a GoPro 4 many years ago lol ... I used it a lot, snow days, pool, lake, at the gym ... after so many years of studying I am done with school and want to get my happy life back lol ... I am not sure if I want to go back to GoPro because I hate the app. I am looking into the insta360 ace pro to the insta360 x3... thank you so much for the video ... I am going to watch a lot more videos from your channel

Thank you so much!! The GoPro has come a long way since those older models were released but the competition right now is very strong. I would skip the X3 in favor of the X4. The Ace Pro is a good choice and I think you should also consider the Action 4

if resolution is important I'd get the Ace Pro. Fun and casual (but will need post editing) I'd take the X3, BUT the X4 just came out and I like that one more than the X3. For low light the Ace Pro

I have the Insta360 X3 and the Go 3, but I use the Go 3 more. I don't see a huge difference between 2.7K and 4K. 2.7, being near 3K, I'm reminded by a video on KZread I'd seen where someone compared 4K with 1080p and even 720p. On a Sony Bravia 4K TV 60-inch screen, I couldn't see any difference between 1080p and 4K unless I went up to about 4 inches from the screen, and only then I could see the tinier pixels! Perhaps that is why 4K Blu-ray disc movies aren't such a huge hit. I still like the X3 though, for all of the variation and angles you can choose from when editing in post because of the two-lens 360 degrees.

Thanks. That’s just about right, the only downside of the 2.7K is that it has a low bitrate, even lower than using freeframe at 1440p which I like a lot in this camera (I did talk more about it in my original video review)

Idk, I see a pretty big difference between 1080p and 4k - unless I take off my glasses haha. The reason I think the 4k blu-ray movies aren't a huge hit is because most of them were recorded in 2k anyways, and then just upscaled afterwards. So in many cases the difference between 1080p and 4k blu-ray movies is neglectable

sure, but these cameras have to be rinsed after using them in salty water or they will deteriorate

For most situations I’d go with the Ace Pro for the higher resolution but the other cameras can be good as well with different advantages but it will come down to what you need or want to achieve

first of all, u should start an ASMR channel coz your voice is so soothing
