The main floor tiles are called " Saltillo " tiles or Mexican Terra Cotta tile , made of clay and not as cold as regular tile, I used to install them. Ang ganda ng bahay , kasing ganda ni Ma'am Eva!😍

I am in love with these Filipiniana style homes. Bravo to the builders and to you for the amazing presentation. The design and materials used has class writtten all over it. The only two things I wish they had were hard wood floors on the bedroom floors and a balcony. Malamig kasi yung tile floors when you step on them in the morning. Otherwise they are perfect. I wish I was back home in the Philippines already so I can contact you about these homes.

Architecture is a derivative practice. Knowing our country's colonial past, it's no mystery that the Filipino style is heavily influenced by the Spanish. It's part of our cultural and architectural heritage, good or bad as it maybe.. Every architectural style is just an iteration of the many styles before it. Otherwise, all architectural history discussions will bring us to the most primitive of man-built structures as huts, tepees and tents.

Many houses in California use many designs and materials sourced from Mexico , like these tiles on the floor , I used to install them back in 1987 it cost $2 / sq feet of tile and $10/ sq ft to install and @ that time, my boss was an Italian tilesetter, and mostly did a million dollar estates here in Toronto, Canada, we did several custom houses here with these Mexican/ Spanish tiles, called "Saltillo tiles", Why so expensive to install you ask?, because no two tiles are identical or alike , very difficult too install.

I don’t like Japanese zen or ultra modern design at all. Though they’re functional, for me they’re boring and soulless structures. And it felt like you’re inside an office building and lots of sharp edges. This and Mediterranean houses on the other hand have timelines charms. Closer to filipino culture
