Inspiring Ikebana Demonstration in 4K

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Inspiring Ikebana, my second book is published end of 2020. To promote the book, I gave a 90-minute live demonstration. Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, is more than just arranging flowers. It is a philosophy and lifestyle that helps you slow down, grow, and find inner peace by developing creative skills and techniques to make beautiful living art.
I made seven ikebana arrangements and explained how I got inspired. This 4K video is a taped version of the live event with more than 500 registrants on February 13, 2020. It is the second episode in my "Bloom with Ikebana" series.
Slow Down, Be Creative, and Enjoy Nature.
Don't forget to buy the book :-) www.ikebana.be/shop

Hello, thank you for your reaction. It depends on the type of arrangement. The first arrangement is made using a kenzan. This is also called a spiky frog. In the second arrangement, I use what is called a cross fixation. You can have a look here kzread.info/dash/bejne/oK57w9ecoNHfaZM.html There are many techniques that are taught in ikebana. I use some here, but you can follow classes to learn them. Also, many of the techniques are explained in my first book, exploring ikebana. If you have more questions just let me know.

Thank for the response. Is it possible to do ikebana with faux plants/flowers? If so, how to do the fixation?

@@TG0901 There are some people doing ikebana with for example origami flower or faux plants/flowers. I am not a real fan of this, I like to stick to the traditional green materials, sometimes combined with unconventional or man-made materials. So basically I cannot answer your question.

Hello, my name is Andrea..I have a quick question...are all the rest of the flowers and branches added into the “fork” to hold it? Thanks...🌹

Thank you for your question. I don't understand your question very well. Are you talking about a specific arrangement? The fixation method depends on the arrangement. For some, I use kenzans (spiky frog), for others direct fixation, or other types or fixation.
