When Nicole collapsed from a rare and undetected genetic heart condition, our team of specialists rallied around her. To save her life, vascular surgeons had to amputate her legs because of her compromised blood flow. Nicole's team guided her through recovery until, with the help of prosthetics, she walked again. Inspired by the care she received, Nicole graduated from nursing school and now cares for patients at Froedtert Hospital.
