Any of you read Tom Hingley's autobiography 'Carpet Burns'? It's amazing ❤ Tom is a great person, and the Inspirals were his world 30 years ago (apart from his wife and kids, obvs), and he was heartbroken about that misunderstanding on Twitter 💔 yet he conducted himself with as much dignity as he could 🕊 Although Stephen Holt was the lead singer in the first place, I started listening to the Inspirals' music from the Tom Hingley era, so I'm used to it. P.S. Moo! 🐄

I agree- Stephen is bobbins.

Some of you seem to think this is a bad mix. There is no mix. Just a BBC soundman in the studio. The mix is in their headphones and we can't hear that.

was at kendal calling.. Had really enjoyed the gig.... but .. as they went off, was really unhappy they hadn't played this.. thank god for encores....... Just such an amazing song..

Saw Tom and the Kar-pets at Glasgow last week. Blinding show. He's billed them as an Inspirals Carpets cover band ha ha. So much better than this

Could not disagree more about the singers. Coming to the band late, with modern ears, I feel Stephen is better by miles. Tom is overbearing, obnoxious to watch, and has no nuance in his delivery. He's proud of being loud but that's all he does. I really hope to see these guys make new music again some day, even after the loss of Craig Gill.
