This venom isn’t accurate to me because Venom is actually meant to care about the host. The symbiote was alienated by its own kind for caring about the host. Manipulating all of the hosts in the insomniac universe is more of a carnage than venom. The host does play a role but venom isn’t necessarily evil (except for spectacular spider-man), that one feeds on hate

What makes Venom such an interesting villain is that he is the collective rage of Eddie Brock & the Symbiote, two beings that wish to make Peter Parker & Spider-Man’s life a living hell It’s not about taking over the world or stealing from banks as it is simply about getting revenge What I love about Venom personally is that he is the dark reflection of what Spider-Man could become if he let his regret & pain define him in a negative manner Portraying Venom as a giant monster that goes around killing people indiscriminately is such a misunderstanding of the character Yes, Venom is monstrous in nature but that’s more for the aesthetic of being a perverted iteration of Spider-Man that uses that to frighten people, rather than actually bite their heads off Venom is cruel, ruthless & cold hearted, but he also displays cunning, high levels of intelligence, & even empathy for certain individuals It’s why Venom becoming an anti hero that forgave Spidey was the best thing for the character as it’s shows the underlying humanity that has always been at the core of the character

Insomniac has always stated that they want to add creative differences to main continuity to keep it fresh, i don't think that venom is simply a brutish monster in insoms version, he's just got different motivations. Eddie brock and venom share hatred for Peter because Pete rejected the symbiote and Eddie lost his livelihood and blames spider-man so when venom bonds with Eddie it amplifies both their personal hatred. But with harry bonding with venom it's actually pretty sad, he's dying and desperately wants to help and improve the world before his time is up, and the symbiote it's self I feel is almost like a child that's getting used to earth, so when it latches on to harry it thinks its helping him but it's just amplifying Harry's desperation to make a difference so both of them become misguided and are destroying things while they think they are helping. "We are going to heal the world". But clearly the Eddie and venom dynamic is better, i just don't think that venom is a mindless monster it's just a misguided creature on a planet it wasn't used to, that got molded and used by ozcorp and Norman for personal gain

Remember like a lot of music that is created today, it takes pieces from music that has already been created decades ago.

I mean this in such a genuine way. All they had to do was not include venom. The symbiote is still great, have kraven be the main villian, have spiderman still get the black suit, still have him get corrupted only this time over a longer period, and still have miles and peter fight, only this time as the FINAL fight. If peter finds and fights with kraven after miles is kidnapped and KILLS kraven, that emotional trauma could push him over the edge to where he attacks miles, miles fights and helps peter remove the symbiote and it leaves peter for a new host. You still have the symbiote, peter miles fight, kraven death, and miles final boss fight. Peter killing has been done in the comics, it's always been unintentionally and that works here, it would excuse him needing a small break too, plus, if that happened the entirety of spiderman's villian cast can be VENOM AND CARNAGE

The game creators would just have to rewrite a portion of the story as to what happens with venom once he loses Peter as a host and where the anti venom would be added into the story.

I agree with some of your points but disagree with others. Venom's character makes sense considering that the symbiote is young, the comics that include Knull, and Harry's condition and backstory. But I have to say that Miles was involved way too much in the main story for no reason. Also, Peter was nerfed way too much so that Miles could shine, which is stupid.

Miles did a little too well against him though IMO, he did better than Peter did with the anti-venom suit. They're trying to make Miles stronger than Peter but it just isn't believable with the lack of experience. The Black suit Peter vs Miles wasn't a good 1v1 to settle who is stronger IMO just because it was more of a Peter and Miles vs symbiote than Peter vs Miles.

It's not that Venom's character doesn't make sense. It's just that he's kinda flat character wise. He has no real motivation besides to take over the world. The way the symbiote is handled is also terrible. it makes the characters it takes over become entirely new characters instead of ampliflying already existing traits. Miles being involved in the main story also is not a valid critism I don't get what you're getting at by saying that. Miles is one of the main characters. He is on the box art. He should be involved in the main story because he is spiderman in a game literally called spiderman. Peter wasn't nerfed. He's just fighting stronger enemies. Kraven alone literally no diffed half of the sinister 6 from the previous game. Venom, one shots him. If both your main villians are stronger of course the main character will seem weaker. Peter also being weaker than Miles and Harry is intentional because it plays into his character arc within this game as well as the black suit. Peter feels he isn't a good enough spiderman because he's weaker than Miles and agent Venom.

My issues are that I actually liked Harry in this game. If they kept an idea they had early on where Harry's anger and other negative emotions are what fuel the symbiote turning out the way it did, and the symbiote itself wasnt the main evil, it coulda worked. If they had Kraven TAKE the symbiote and Venom was this way, it also coulda worked cause Kraven would have established making everyone a symbiote host to create more unique things to hunt that could be a challenge. You also had a third option: take idea 2, but have Harry become anti-venom to "heal the world" of Kraven's symbiote fueled evil. ANY of these ideas would have helped the overall Venom impact if they really wanted him in the game's narrative that badly.

He was pissed and always giving Peter shit for saving the day yet becomes venom finally finds out who Spider-Man is and still gives him shit???? After finally realizing why he's been abandoning him and Gwen whenever things go south, instead of him try to rather work with Peter. He tries to expose him . I know the Symbiote made him do most of those things but there was no absolute build up to it. Off rip he was pissed and targeted Peter. Didn't even try to fight the Symbiote back .

I would imagine venom is a monster in this game, because of the stone. when Symbiotes sense the stone, they only want to serve Knull. Insomniac already confirmed his return, and without that meteorite present, I would imagine venom would feel purposeless and end up just being his typical goofball self.

Can like everyone see this comment when they call Insomniacs Venom bad. The meteorite was the centrepiece for Venom in this which hasn’t been seen in a non comic setting like this, I don’t care what anyone says, this venom was good just heavily misunderstood and misinterpreted by people who are starved of nostalgia and expect Venom to be the same they’ve already seen despite the fact that Insomniac stated before the games release that Venom was going to be a different character to his other adaptations.

What makes Venom so special, especially when he was first created, is the fact that Eddie Brock and Venom want revenge on Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It's a true symbiotic relationship. In this version, Venom just completely takes over. He has no personality. Its just a monster. Not to mention, VENOM WANTED TO WORK WITH PETER. THAT'S NOT VENOM. Venom and Spider-Man fighting is supposed to be filled with pure hatred. Sadly, Insomniac failed to capture that. Not to mention, Venom was just completely rushed. The game wasn't bad, in fact I'll give it a 7.9/10. Spider-Man 1 easily clears in terms of story.

In my opinion Venom in the modern day media has unfortunately been boiled down to his basic traits....."Big.....Tall.. Muscles.....monster...." that's it Venom as a character is so much more complicated and complex than that. Now a days it doesn't matter who wears the symbiote. They all almost always look like a giant roided out monster regardless. When everyone looks like Venom it takes away of the special-ness of the person inside the suit. Venom is JUST THE GOO NOW...... doesn't matter who weres the suit now, as long as fans see big Muscle monster and he says "we are venom" they will eat it up.....not realizing that there is no substance to his character anymore. . What's the point of "WE" if the goo is in control everytime they transform ,The person inside is just along for the ride while the alien does all the fighting and talking. .What's the point of "WE" if anyone who wears the suit still turns out to look like A giant version of venom How venom was and should be is the angry and bitter eddie brock + a furious and mournful symbiote. That's why there were two voices coming out of venom....it was because venom was the result of 2 entities talking and working together as one. Picture venom as a ship that can't work without two captains working together to sail it. Venom wasn't always the size of the hulk either.... venom was big because eddie brock was big. Eddie brock was 6'3 260 lbs and when he transformed he was that size, not the size of a 2 story building for God sake! Bigger isn't always better... carnage was only slightly bigger than Spider-Man and he was stronger than him and venom put together. I'll leave it with my favorite quote from the comics "THE SYMBIOTE COULD HAVE BONDED WITH ANYBODY.....BUT ONLY RAGE AND VENGEFULNESS OF EDDIE BROCK COULD HAVE CREATED VENOM "

I definitely agree with Spider-Man 1 being way more well written than the sequel. The thing about Peter being nerfed. People have said that Peter has been Spider-Man for a long time without taking any breaks at all. i honestly agree i wish there was a extra 4-5 hours of gameplay to expand on harry slowly becoming jealous of miles and peters relationship, seeing miles as a “replacement” and i wish harry took the negative aspects of black suited peter to heart. to fully flesh this out i wish there was maybe a cutscene where symbiote influenced peter argues with harry at oscorp and itll eventually lead to harry slapping tf outta pete which in turn makes him rock tf outta harry for no reason what so ever and maybe fully flesh out a “hate” towards peter. with harry fully not aware that the symbiote is affecting peter’s behavior, that’s just a small f it idea. or maybe raise the stakes in the end where eventually we do get a miles and peter chase and fight sequence with venom in the random streets of new york. maybe venom might even kidnap mj and tease peter and even just straight up kill her creating a much larger stake and emotional attachment to the final fight, and maybe if they wanted to miles could’ve been the one to bring mj back to life with his electricity so there wouldn’t be too much loss. and then maybe in the end when harry slowly realizes what he did, then maybe start to reveal that venom has a mind of his own and starts to channel harry’s anger and use it, so at the very last stage of the final fight we see harry start to fight back against venom and peter emotionally trying to free him from it. (peter still doesn’t know mj is alive after miles revived her) and maybe if harry died or even went into a coma by the end of the battle and got SERIOUSLY HURT, due to peters anger and frustration on venom i’d love to see that push norman on the edge to hate spiderman maybe seeing a scene where norman sees spiderman about to beat harry to a pulp but then stops himself to let him live. this is just a first thought idea that wouldn’t actually sound too bad. all in all, i do agree and i wish this portion of the game was A LOT LONGER 😂

That's all I wanted. I wanted to see Harry get in between Miles and Peter, then Peter and MJ. Let us see that Osborn entitlement & have the symbiote just dials it up to eleven. Develop the Peter/MJ/Harry dynamic we heard so much about in the 1st game. Let it be ambiguous as to whether Harry has always been possessive of Peter as a friend or if it's the symbiote wanting to isolate Peter so it can go back to his first love. Maybe have Norman always compare Harry to Peter, feeding into Harry's inferiority complex towards Pete. Maybe Harry wants MJ just because Peter loves her. FFS INSOMNIAC GIVE US SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE

To answer all of your questions Harry is not in control of the venom Symbiot the only time he was in control was when he was fighting Kraven. Besides that the Symbiot was auto piloting this man’s body he even says we are not Harry. When the host and the Symbiot don’t have the same agendas anymore it can just flat out take over their body without their consent.

Untrue harry did a consensual bond with venom when venom created a twisted version of harry's idea of "healing the world" by imitating her mother's voice trying to convince him fully to let venom be one with him its just when harry saw his destruction and the damage he caused to his friends with his naked eye that he starts to reject the suit

The sad thing about the knife thing is that you could basically figure out Kraven designed a Knife specifically to kill Pete, but to even run down to that conclusion, besides from examining the Scorpion Armor Copy as Pete, you have to explore a bit AS MJ, I mean I really love her improved sections, and her one-shotting foes via Silver Sables Training and Taser, who is the same person that got Pete in the first game looking like a FRUAD, was a nice little explanation on why she was more confident in stealth missions, but to give us more exposition on this type of stuff, since he took out people like Electro with ease(in fact it Kraven outright says Electro was THE MOST DISSAPOINTING AND EASIEST TO KILL), you can come up with "Oh Kraven must have made or altered his Knife to be undetectable to his Spider-Sense somehow, and also may include something like Poison, or knowing where to strike to make Pete bleed out to death" but locking that away as an optional thing, IN MJ STEALTH MISSIONS?! Nah Insomniac must've been tweaking for that. They should've made it a cutscene, or find some sort of way to force you to go to the other computers to get more exposition.

I really liked this Venom, I like how he's just a menace to society and but I can understand some criticisms. What Venom is meant to be (to me at least) is someone that's created to ruin Spider-Man's life, to make him miserable, not so much a world conquering tyrant. But this is a completely different character with his own motives and feelings

Keep in mind that this Venom blames Miles and Kraven for their bond breaking meanwhile other iterations of venom had one Spider-Man aka Peter Parker who got rid of the symbiote alone so the symbiote obviously had Peter to blame so that's why he didn't hate Peter and instead hated Kraven and Miles, his host was also Harry who is best friends with Peter and even though he was angry at Peter for ignoring him as he was slowly dying, he still loves him as a friend which is also why Venom didn't try to ruin his life.

No real Venom fan liked this Venom and the majority of fans also think that the story is complete garbage. Peter dies from a knife lmao, Black Cat mission was so stupid and she didn't even interacted with his Ex Bf Peter, which would be the perfect opportunity for some love Drama bc she likes the Black Suit more than his original. Norman is angry at the Spider-Men even though they did what Norman wanted, MJ takes Peter's hand and Norman only has to turn around to see it this is Peter. In the end he goes to Otto and asks him who the Spider-Men are, even though Otto doesn't even know Miles. Miles loses to Kraven, Peter loses to Kraven (The guy who fought the Sinister Six with broken bones), Venom defeats Kraven but Peter with his Anti-Venom Suit loses to Venom but Miles can defeat Venom? Kraven kills almost all enemies off screen to show how powerful he is, but that was just stupid because you don't need something like that to show how strong a person is. Regardless, Kraven felt like he wasn't doing anything and had his hunters work for him. Harry's final scene was so boring that everyone didn't care if he died or not. Norman doesn't notice that his son is sick again and Spider-Man suddenly has a black suit. Hmm I wonder why? Regardless, Oscorp had another symbiote, which was not mentioned in the story, which could cured Harry. Peter had only had the suit for 2 days and only had 2 cool lines. Peter apologizes for every little thing that isn't his fault. The first game was about gang wars and virus over NYC. Now it's about an alien wanting to conquer the whole world and Spider-Man having to fight an Avengers-level opponent all alone. I know this is a Spider-Man game but if they have to include Easter eggs from other heroes all the time you shouldn't be surprised that people criticize it. What should the third game look like? We're fighting the multiverse? A story needs development. JPRGs like Persona 5 did a better job of starting with an evil teacher fighting and then ending with a god because there was just a progression. There was no emotional scene compared to the first game which was a perfect Spider-Man Story.

@@GarfieldFatCat most of the stuff you said are very easily justifyable. For example norman blaming the spidermen. As a hurt father he has to blame someone, and that would be the spidermen. Thats not a story problem, its just Norman's way of blaming somebody for what happened to his son. If YOU had lost your son in that situasion, you would have done the same. Whatever tho, i am not gonna stay here and just argue with you. Any "fans" that thing the game's story was garbage are just dumb and crybabies. Either way i dont care what ANYBODY says, i massively enjoyed this game's story (even if it was a safe aproach) and especially its gameplay, visuals, amd fighting. 10/10 from me, or at least a 9.5/10

ive been saying that once the honeymoon phase with this game dies down, people’ll start to see how absolutely fucking poorly this game was written. you’re right to think a large portion of the game is missing, insomniac have admitted to cutting content to make room for mj segments as well as the fact that a lot of the late 2nd act, and a lot out of the entirety of the 3rd act had to be scrapped because sony was dissatisfied

The problem with this Venom is that he’s boring. Instead of being a personal enemy that stalks Spider-Man and knows everything about him, he’s just another big dumb alien that wants to take over the world.

I think this venom was a good villain, and considering the fact that we’re getting a venom lethal protector game thanks to the insomniac leaks, I think I know why venom was the way he was in this game. The wanting to take over the world stuff aligned with Harry’s vision, but more twisted thanks to them being bonded. The purpose of venom in this game is to further strengthen the arcs of Peter and Harry, and set up the events for the next game like we see in the post credits scene. Another factor of venom’s behavior in this game can be boiled down to him not meeting Eddie Brock yet, who is his perfect host. I believe that he will bond with Eddie in the upcoming venom game, and when that happens, we will get the venom we all know and love.

.Tbh I don't think Harry will be the Venom Lethal Protector. I think they will kill off Harry at the beginning or mid of Spiderman 3 game, so Norman can descent in full madness whilst trying out the Serum that will turn him into a Green Goblin full of hatred for Spiderman. If he finds out he is also Peter Parker, even better. I believe they will introduce Eddie Brock at some point, I believe we might see him in Carnage DLC, and he will become the Venom we will play with. Imo makes it even better for a first game, we get introduced to the symbiote the same time as Brock, at first things go crazy and wild but soon we get the hang of it and stuff start to happen. I believe Harry arc is pretty much done, as himself and as Venom, also Eddie Brock is a character worth introducing, makes no sense in leaving him out. They even introduced Flash Tompson in the game, but they have been leaving Eddie Brock out of the story in a way that it's quite becoming obvious they have something planned for him when they already have showed pretty much everyone from Spiderman classic roster.

The one thing that bothered me more than anything about this game, was my Spidey Sense working flawlessly in the Venom battle. I’m sorry, but my Spidey Sense needs to be completely defunct when throwing hands with Venom. It just ain’t right. My immersion was broken. I’m not even exaggerating. It truly bothered me.

I am glad it did work. It never had any logic in the comics why the Spidey Sense wouldn't sense danger when Venom was about to attack Spider-Man. Glad they changed that. Anything that is a threat to Spiderman should tingle his spidey sense.

@@asniffer6532 The reason it doesn’t work is because the Symbiote downloaded Peter’s DNA and it adapted to his abilities, strengths and weaknesses. So when the Symbiote was rejected by Peter it had developed a seething hatred for its former host, and found someone who shared that same ideology. When the Symbiote leaves Peter it turns the next host into anti Spider-Man. The Symbiote is basically AI in the worst case scenario. Except the game didn’t do that. It touched on it a bit when Harry spun the block in Queens, but other than that not really. Harry as Venom wasn’t too bad. I would have preferred Brock though. I love the concept of a villain that isn’t really evil, they just hate the hero that fucking much. Brock hated Peter but shared his sense of justice. That’s what made him such a good character.

You actually had some really good points here, the transition to Goku vs Frieza was really slick by the way I also think Gohan vs Cell would've worked too. But narratively speaking, you're right. Regarding the Miles vs Venom fight, there's just not enough there for both of them as characters for it to really matter and it feels like it's a "I'm only doing this so I can get to the next part of the story" type of battle, I think it fails the most that Miles is the one who saves Harry at the end of the game when they literally don't know anything impactful about the other. I get that Miles is a good guy and it was the right thing to do, but that moment should've really mattered as a huge narrative plot point.

Yeah, so much potential. Instead they made them into symbiote goons (the symbiote mooks' colors are a homage to the Life Foundation symbiotes. The big gray one with blue veins is a homage to Riot, the orange/yellowish minions are a homage to Phage, the purple one is Agony and the green one is Lasher)

this is honestly valid man, i’ve still replayed the game ode just out of sheee amazement for the game, but it should’ve been longer and been more stalled out, i remember when the first trailer for the game even came out and they saw him coming out the alley, the sheer dopamine i got from that was insane, i feel like they had more plans for bro but was ultimately scrapped

To go off your point and what he mentioned in the video, if anything the symbiote feeling like a separate entity is a good thing. The symbiote being nothing more than just a non thinking substance that corrupts the user is an interpretation that kind of takes away some of the intrigue in the venom story to me. In my viewpoint, the interesting thing about the Venom story aside from it revealing hidden aspects of Peter's psyche, is the fallout between Peter and the symbiote as a result of it. The symbiote itself was a sapient creature that felt betrayed by Peter, and then it went to bond with Eddie Brock, another person who felt slitted by Spiderman, and both of their negative feelings fed into each other and made them both worse. It's this aspect that also makes Venom stories where they both redeem themselves more satisfying. During the final battle of SM2, I felt like it was mostly the symbiote talking to Peter and Miles, and was just spring boarding off of Harry's memories as a mouthpiece. I do agree that the symbiote story and especially Venom could've used alot more time and fleshing out, but the symbiote feeling separate from the host isn't necessarily a bad thing. It could even lead into an interesting redemption story in a solo Venom game if Insomniac plays their cards right this time.

I also think the developers just knew changing Venom from Eddie to Harry was just going to come with some problems and genuinely tried to come up with a "unique" story for their continuity but just knew they weren't going to get everything down. That's why I think it would've been best if Peter became Venom and Miles and MJ had to stop him, as that would've been the best emotional plot point they could've gone for.

The worst part about the “Miles Morales original, 1 of 1,” is that Adidas basically shilled their way into making the suit a NECESSITY for the game so that they could try to sell their game related merch like their SM2 sneakers and, wouldn’t you guess it, the 1 of 1 original is a sweatshirt joggers combination on their website.

He's just kinda boring motivation wise and the name "Venom" doesn't really match his motivations. People don't like this version because of misleading marketing, Brian would always say stuff like "this is a classic take on Venom, his main driving force being his hatred for Spiderman" which just isn't true.Overall he's just fine. Not horrible but not great either imo.

I think this Venom works for the story Insomniac was trying to tell. Most of the points made in the second half of the video are with the assumption that Harry is completely in control as Venom. If looked at in that way, it can definitely come off as character assassination even. But the main villain of the 3rd act was (in my view) the black suit or the symbiote. The symbiote does, to an extent, push out repressed feelings as with the MJ fight and the Peter fight. Venom's motives do work considering the way the symbiote had been treated in the time it was on earth. Do I think it could have been better? Yeah. Do I think this Venom sucked? Nah. But to each his own.

@axelmartinez3540 This one is more subjective on my part. Cause in my playing of the game (doing it again as of me writing), I was invested in the 3rd act (though the weakest). The emotional connection comes from not only it being Pete's BFF but also due to it actually being Peter's fault that he's like this. You get a bigger sense of tragedy in this game due to Peter playing an active and direct hand in creating Venom. That sort of "hit" as I call it can't be traced to Li, and not as much as Otto (thought Peter made the arms, the intention to create a monster wasn't there). Venom is not brainless or soulless. The suit has motives that aren't based on taking over the world on a dare. Venom in this story has a perception of itself as the solution to everything because well...that's what it's been the whole game. It's either a cure for Harry or a means to "heal the world" or to "be a better Spider-Man." Venom does what he does out of a belief that it's the best course for all of us. "We know what's best for you."

This iteration of Venom reminds me of the Venom we got in Ultimate Spider-Man. He’s just a monster, a wild animal. It’s not a bad take, Tony Todd is always a win. I’m just so used to seeing “Lethal Protector, Total Goof” Venom that a monster-y villain Venom is odd to me now. If we ever get an Eddie Brock, I hope we see more of a personality from them.

Final boss should have been the promo like you said, it would have been amazing to see 2 spider-men swinging and gliding through nyc fighting Venom crashing through buildings and such. it would also make more sense if a game with 2 people as the mc's have both of them fighting in the FINAL BOSSSS just like Sand Mans boss fight at the start where both Peter and Miles fight him. also i think if Venom was more fleshed out and had an overall better arc that isn't entirely just based around him "wanting to heal the world" (taking over the world) and more like the actual Venom character from the comics and other media where both the host and the symbiote has a hatred for Spider-Man rather than the host being corrupted by the symbiote would have hit harder than it did (possibly being as good as the doc ock boss fight from the 2018 game)

While his motivation could sometimes be unclear, I think this is a very unique interpretation of Venom. It’s not Eddie’s story, rather it’s the story of two best friends having a vision that twists and crumbles into something messy when things go wrong for them. I think this version of venom was very serviceable and interesting.

The mechanics of this game were leagues above the first one but I was no where near as invested in the story. The moments never hit as hard. One of my favorite moments from 2018 was after the sinister 6 are released you just get a sense of dread. So many criminals are everywhere and you wonder how is Peter gonna take care of all of this. 2023”an equivalent is when the symbiote takes over the city and I just felt nothing. I still dealt dread but only because I was like great now I gotta do 7 tedious things to progress.

Idk Zeph, I fucked with Venom heavy in this game but tbh you definitely right about missing 4-5 hours worth of gameplay. I loved tf outta this game cuz I been a symbiote fanatic since day one but we definitely deserved at least 4-5 hours worth more of story and character development.

Honestly this Venom's actions are more in line with Carnage or Knull than the actual Venom which is funny considering they sneak peaked Carnage in the game, who I personally think should've been in Venom's role as the final boss when he started a symbiote invasion. Hell, this would've been the perfect chance for them to bring Knull outside of comic books. The only thing this Venom has in common with actual Venom is the Spider-Man obsession. Course, this is Insomniacs' interpretation of Venom and I won't @ them for that. I'm just sad that we've yet to have a single Spiderman game where Venom is an ally rather than an antagonist. Oh well. Maybe one day.

Nah, Venom is great in this game. Not peak, that goes to Spectacular Spider-Mans Venom. Venom still has rage in this game, lots of it. It’s an original story and it’s told well. True, it should have had more time and could have been stretched but it’s amazing what they did in a short amount of time. This Venom is more accurate to what would happen in real life. It’s a huge monster that harnesses Harry’s and itself’s emotions and burning them into an apocalyptic terror town! Harry is still being miss directed by the symbiote. He wants Pete to heal the world by his side. But, Venom wants Pete so he can have him out of the way and help take over the world. There are many more reasons such as how they introduced the chance of a Null crossover or Carnage. (Which is going to be a DLC) “We want our Venom to be an original story” quote said by developers at Insomniac Games. I don’t see how this is a bad take on Venom.

I agree with everything except the heal the world thing. There’s side missions to where you can help the city and peter also takes the equipment and works on it at home. But to fix the norman problem. I would make a DLC about their relationship and finally setting up The Green Goblin who is angry at spiderman but mostly himself cause he knew harry had to go but only by his terms. And the little symboties don’t make sense cause the reason harry was huge was because of his anger and greed to make his dad proud of him and norman telling pete that he was a better son than his own son, had a lot of bottled anger and formes into a monster. Venom

"And Miles has no reason to even be fighting Harry (Venom)" and now you can apply that everytime Miles fights a Spider-man's villain in the comics

2025 venom game maybe his character will be better being all having more development maybe Eddie Brock too

I do think venom does work in this game but I do agree we should’ve gotten more time with him

You say that anyone who knows Venom knows he should be Eddie Brock, but than compare the different identities of Venom to the different Spider people out there, which Stan Lee had addressed that anyone can be a Spider person. That make no sense. Eddie Brock is the definitive Venom yes, but others hosts have still taken on the identity, so there’s nothing wrong with Harry being Venom 😂

A better example: Raiden and Senator Armstrong

yeah some of these points kinda miss when you actually look deeper into the game but a ok amount of these are valid but this is the best venom weve seen in ages imo

Tbh I don't think Harry will be the Venom Lethal Protector. I think they will kill off Harry at the beginning or mid of Spiderman 3 game, so Norman can descent in full madness whilst trying out the Serum that will turn him into a Green Goblin full of hatred for Spiderman. If he finds out he is also Peter Parker, even better. I believe they will introduce Eddie Brock at some point, I believe we might see him in Carnage DLC, and he will become the Venom we will play with. Imo makes it even better for a first game, we get introduced to the symbiote the same time as Brock, at first things go crazy and wild but soon we get the hang of it and stuff start to happen. Different from Harry that wants the suit to survive due to the disease, Eddie is just a common guy like Peter, with not much of a bright future who is struggling in life, it will be fun to be in his shoes and how the Symbiote will ramp up his life just like we saw with Tom Hardy's portrayal. That's how I can see them pushing a '' Venom Lethal Protector '' without Spiderman being pushed in the same story, in which he would probably be stealing the show. I believe Harry arc is pretty much done, as himself and as Venom, also Eddie Brock is a character worth introducing, makes no sense in leaving him out. They even introduced Flash Tompson in the game, but they have been leaving Eddie Brock out of the story in a way that it's quite becoming obvious they have something planned for him when they already have showed pretty much everyone from Spiderman classic roster.
