I think instead of a new Miles game, we should get a prequel game that is set in Pete's second year as Spidey. That way we won’t need an origin but we can see him still growing as a crime fighter we could get Daily Bugle related missions.

I see them doing Spider-Man Miles Morales 2 with Peter wholly on the sidelines, then they make Spider-Man 3 where you pick Peter up halfway through. Something forces him out of retirement into being Spidey again, maybe he has to reteach himself some things because he got rusty

Carnage unfortunately will be dlc they need to move past the symbiote arc this game was suited for the symbiotes they can't cram the carnage symbiote in the 3rd because we got doc ock and green goblin they won't wanna take away attention from those villains plus there might be a chance we get superior spiderman

No way they not leaving Peter out of the picture. He’s still gonna be part of the story. I mean we know that Green Goblin is going to be the big bad for spider man 3 so we’re definitely gonna get Peter and Miles teaming up again

I really don’t know how I feel about this, I love Miles, but Peter has always been the OG for me. To me, I love both of them, but I want to play as both of them. I also don’t see why they have a “main,” Spider-Man, why not have them be equals, Peter, Miles, And now Cindy. One of my biggest problems with Spider-Man 2 was that they kind of sidelined Miles and his ark in comparison with Peter, who got the majority of screen time during the campaign.

I agree with not wanting Ultimate Goblin. I'd be fine with the mixture of OG and Ultimate like you suggested, or there's 2 Goblins, 1 being the OG, and the other being Ultimate(it could even be Hobgoblin and Ultimate Green Goblin for all I care, I just want to go against a Guy on a Glider).

I don't think we're getting a sequel to Miles' game. Side games usually don't get self contained continuations in their own series. Plus, Insomniac has to work on Wolverine from the ground up. A Miles solo game would only extend the wait time in getting the finale of the trilogy. Chances are Miles will be playable for most of the beginning in 3 and as soon as Doc Ock breaks out Peter will go back to being Spider-Man. If the game is bigger and able to pace it's plot points right (Silk, Carnage, Chameleon, Goblin, and Doc Ock) they could also conclude Miles arc and Peter's story nicely.

I think there’s a really good chance we’ll get red goblin like we got anti venom, although there’ll definitely be some Peter missions but they’ll probably take the place of the mj ones Hobgoblin could be the main villain of mm2 as a test subject for G serum

Peter is gonna come back

I'm thinking maybe Miles could go against Chameleon in a solo game or something since they set him up in the end Unidentified Target missions and he's not necessarily a villain that is too big in scale like Carnage or Green Goblin

I don't mind if hes the main character untill Peter comes back, but don't make him the main character for Spider-Man 3. Spin off games like Miles Morales 2 or something sure, but Spider-Man 3? Hell no. Especially with Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus being hinted as the main villians who are deeply personal to Peter Parker.

I saw your video about miles being the main spiderman but I think you may have forgoten something. It said while peter takes a break so obviusly he will come back as spiderman in MSM3 and when he does come back they will buff/bring him back to his prime him since they nerfed him to take a break. So peter will be back in the end of the dlc and save the day becouse we all know miles cant beat SPOILERS carnage all by himself. But we obviusly know he will come back in MSM3 as the mc or as one of the 3 main characters.

Spider-Man 3 will have Peter. It would make no sense especially since they build up that both Norman and Otto are probably gonna team up in 3. It would be weird especially because Otto honestly only knows who Peter is and not Miles. Also be weird if Peter never fights his biggest villain.

I think the issue with the suit is a few things. One being that Venom is taking over the city and Miles shows up in a new suit. Another being that people would be fine with it if it wasn't a suit that's canon to the story. And the final reason being that they force you to use it in the final mission. And I personally don't like the suit's design.

I would love the next game shows Peter with a kid, I don’t think it’s the absolute end for Peter as Spider-Man, he’ll always put on the suit for emergencies and big events but in terms of general crime fighting day to day, Miles handles it. Essentially Miles is the everyday Spider-Man, Peter is the Spider-Man for huge emergencies and big events.

Guess they didn't want to deal with more of the Peter face stuff.

My theory for Spider-Man Miles morales 2.Peter and MJ got married and go on there honeymoon so there gone.Kingpin will be the main villain and out for miles cause his uncle screwed him over a deal.Years before he got locked away and he finds out his secret identity so prowler has to come out retirement to save miles.Kingpin has all the phones hacked so he can’t reach out for help(Peter) and ganke is the one who finds out cause of his hacking skills.So we can switch characters like Spider-Man 2.That’s my theory for the next game.

I’m sorry but Miles isn’t the main Spider-Man, they just said it right now cause they want to ok with the spider-verse movie fans, Peter is the original Spider-Man is still honestly going to be the main Spider-Man, even with Peter taking this break, the only time where Miles is really “the main” is when the Peter Parker in his universe dies, and if they do that in this universe that would just suck

Miles will probably fight Carnage in second game and Spider-Man 3 green goblin (mixture or the OG) will be the main villain of SM3

My personal theory is that Miles will get a full 20 hour game rather than the 12 hour one and it will have small set ups to green goblin and by the end of the game norman will be green goblin and then spiderman 3 will have both spidermen fighting green goblin because he beat miles badly in the end of miles second game and in the 3rd maybe Peter will die and then that will be the end of the Insomniac Spider-verse.

Why would they make a Miles Morales 2 if he’s already been playable twice?

i really like miles morales in the games but i do think that peter is way beter. just overall he has better storylines compared to miles. I also sadly began to find the stuff about miles and his community to be repetitive.

I'm not hating on the first Miles Morales game I love it but the one thing I hated about it was that it was a little short. The game was like a mini game. Man I know I'm gonna get hate, but I really don't think miles evolved suit is as bad as people are making it. But I will say I don't think they should of introduced it in the story, i don't think people would be hating on it as much if it was just a suit you could unlock.

Spider-Man is the most popular superhero in the world and that’s because of Peter Parker and his story/characters. These games are the first Spider-Man games ever to really be considered great (comparable to the Batman Arkham games). Replacing Peter with miles is a bad idea in my opinion. Miles is very much in the minority in terms of popularity (he’s only really become popular in the last few years) and I think him replacing Peter will cause many fans to not care to play the game. Doesn’t mean the game won’t be great but there are still a good amount of people who only care for Peter Parker and consider him the real Spider-Man. It would be best to keep them both in my opinion.

I know insomniac have 2 marvels projects and Spider-Man 2 DLC on the way. Miles could be part of those projects as main Spider-Man. Spider-Man 3 won’t come out until 2027.

This is how they should end Tom Holland’s next trilogy by bringing in Miles and having him take over the role of Spidey while Tom and Zendaya live happily ever after

Haven't watched your video yet, so if the shoe doesn't fit- don't wear it. That being said, this has all been taken out of context‐ and blown out of proportion. He's taking a break, and doing his own thing. Emphasis on "taking a break". Peter Parker will most definitely be back for Spider-Man 3. It's HIS story. Norman Osborn will discover who Spider-Man is by Otto Octavius, and will go after him, and his loved ones. There will most certainly be both DLC, and a spin-off title between this latest entry, and the next mainline installment wherein- Peter Parker will likely, not be present and Miles Morales/ Cindy Moon will take center stage. In no way, is Peter Parker gone, or being wholly replaced by either [Miles Morales/ Cindy Moon]. Insomniac simply doesn't want to undermine the impact of Spider-Man 2's ending by giving out too much information. And it's likely they want this controversy so that his return in the third game has more of an impact/ narrative weight. That's it.

Eh I agree with most of the comment section, he’ll be playable in Spider-Man 3. Norman facing off against just Miles and Silk does not have that great of an emotional impact. Norman is pissed at Peter Parker Spider-Man for not saving his son, not Miles Spider-Man

I like Miles and all, but this would be an L decision in my honest opinion. Miles is A Spider-Man but Peter is THE Spider-Man. Sidelining Peter (the reason Spidey is popular) would suck. Edit: And I think Miles should have his own hero name and villains so he can leave Peter's shadow because let's face it, I don't think he'll ever be better than Peter. And you bring up a good point, Cris about how it could just be a second Miles game. But the tweet (or X? I don't even know) says he'll be the main Spidey in the Insomniac universe. Peter was designed so that you relate to him. And the costume covered his whole body so you could imagine yourself in the story.

Peter is physically stronger than Miles this is confirmed. Miles makes up for this with his venom abilities and camouflage and he is a little bit faster than Pete(I think?) but Peter's iconic Spider-Sense is significantly more powerful than Miles. Peter can sense danger farther away and well before it actually happens. I think this is because Pete is older and has more developed spidey powers in comparison to Miles. And also don't forget Peter is more intelligent than Miles and has a lot more experience in being Spider Man.

@@garenthal9638 Yes Miles is diverse. In other categories and in some ways I agree that Miles's abilities and power are superior. But Pete is physically far more powerful. Pete has a greater connection to the Web of Life so his spider-sense is vastly superior in combat he is also more durable and is actually far faster than Miles(I thought Miles was faster). And they actually fought in the comics and Pete won.

I am making fun of the writers of the game who made miles the star for wrong reason (diversity and replace the white guy) So because the game writers did not have the talent to do that smoothly they had to essentially treat Miles like Rey from starwars where he solved all of peters problems, even defeating venom

I'm fine with Miles being the main Spiderman for now and it's not saying that Peter will not Spiderman anymore. He just taking a break from it and to sort his life out outside being Spiderman. Plus with Norman Osborn being set up to be the Green Goblin in the 3rd game. It would be silly not to have Peter fighting him in the game.
