The question asked was - is it good to meditate using different ways as stated by Om Swami, or do people have to stick to only one way as stated by other gurus
Om Swami says that the word ‘have to’ is very binding and does not do any good, as this may induce a feeling of guilt. He says, his answer was in context to a particular seeker, who was at a stage where this method could help, and therefore this is not applicable to everybody. He says, It is important to have a fixed way and when he says about choosing different ways, it still is on meditation and not something totally different. He says, it all depends on who you are. Giving the example of some sugar mixed with a pile of sand, he says, only an ant can remove the sugar effectively from the pile of sand without feeling perturbed. A human being irrespective of their muscular body, or skills of swordsmanship, may take his or her whole life, or give up in frustration if asked to separate the same. Similarly, the same path will not work for all, and only a foolish guru will give the same idea to everyone. Sometimes one has to be as strong as an elephant and at other times, one has to be as small as an ant. The path given differs depending on a seeker’s ability, personality, and the stage in which they are in and a guru after perceiving and taking into account all this gives them the path to follow.
Om Swami says that the variation in thoughts are also like this. They cannot be compartmentalized. They are all mixed together, like sand with sugar. One has to become the ant, to sort the bad thoughts from the good. This can only be done slowly, one at a time, with courage and patience. A seeker similarly never gets frightened seeing the long journey ahead. One should just be mindful of each moment. Om Swami says, meditation is a very subtle act and without mindfulness, it cannot be done.
A seeker who can sit still in meditation for 45 minutes or more, and who wants to progress, but finds his or her body and mind getting tired and therefore is unable to meditate, they can benefit by making small changes to their ways of meditation. If a seeker is tired one day, they have two options to choose from and adopt. The first is not to do any meditation, and the second is to change their way of meditating for some time, instead of not doing it at all, so that the practice does not stop. He says the practice of meditation and stillness in body and mind go hand in hand. They are intertwined and they complement each other. To progress, practice is necessary and without practice nothing is possible.

Maine pichle 1 saal se try kar raha hu 15 min se 30 min phuncha hu even laptop kholke bhi 40 min hi kar pata hu 😫😫😫 So 8 hrs even with laptop is incredible
