Having swaminarayan idol is real idol worship. Idol worship doesn't mean worshipping the idol, but idolizing a human being (saint etc) to the level of God. Shree Ram or Krishna temples or idols are idols of God himself, meaning Ram and Krishna are God avtara in human forms only, so it is not an idol worship.
