Inside the USS Titan-A or Enterprise-G
Фильм және анимация
A 3D animation of the USS Titan A or Enterprise 1701-G from Picard, Enjoy!
The USS Titan A, also known as the USS Enterprise G is a Constitution III or Neo-Constitution Class Starship.
Its predecessor, the USS Titan, was the ship that Captain William Riker commanded.
Captain Liam Shaw commanded the USS Titan-A when it was launched in 2396 And served under Starfleet during the 24th and 25th centuries.
In 2401, the Titan-A played a crucial role in averting the Changeling and Borg threat that posed a danger to both Starfleet and the Federation.
In 2402, Captain Seven of Nine took command, and the ship was renamed the Enterprise-G.

As a minor correction, the ship has more then 6 phaser arrays. You can see them on the saucer model. It's a mix of old style ball turret 'banks' and modern phaser 'strip' arrays. That's 10 just on the saucer alone, and there are additional ones placed around the engineering hull.
@pyronuke4768
Жыл бұрын
I counted 11 (7 twin banks + 4 strips). The last twin bank is at the rear of the secondary hull just above the shuttle bay. The emitters are spaced out a bit farther than normal though, so they're easy to miss.
According to Memory Alpha Fandom, the Constitution-III class starship had 28 decks and had a crew complement of 500.
I know it’s controversial, but I love this ship so much. Such a beautiful amalgamation of my favorite ships from trek. Not every enterprise needs to be bigger than the last, in fact I find this a little more interesting honestly.

If we have some ships, it's controversial. But if we are building more ships with partners and encouraging younger generations to space exploration and establish some starfleets to further extroplanet settlements to reach galactic civilization, they won't thought it's controversial but truly fantasy.
One key feature they missed off this ship: lighting.

I do have mixed feeling on the Titan becoming the Enterprise-G as I feel the Titan deserved its own legacy as she bravely stood alone against overwhelming odds against the Borg invasion. Furthermore, I tend to feel that the design of the Titan is a bit of a step backwards in Enterprise designs, to say nothing of not being as powerful as the Enterprise is expected to be. However, because of how incredibly GOOD season 3 of Picard was, I'm more accepting of the name change. If this is going to be the Federation Flagship, she would have to receive a major overhaul of her defensive capabilities, while still maintaining that stance as an Explorer. At the start of the season, I was thinking that it didn't feel right that Picard and the TNG crew weren't on the Enterprise. While we did get the Return of the most important TNG character at the end of Episode 9, by the end of episode 10 I realize that we were technically on the Enterprise the entire season. The Titan was just earning that Name.

I feel the same way.
IMHO...perhaps the only 'bad thing' about ST:P Season III was...this...making the Titan-A into the Enterprise-G. Every Enterprise has been..more...than what the Neo-Constitution is..in every way. Almost every federation starship Enterprise became the Flag Ship. It has the best of the best, best equipment, best crew. If there's a scale on it, the Enterprise got The Best. Some think that the Enterprise-D was a bit...Over sized...a flying apartment complex, but there was reasons for that. THIS Enterprise is like a big step backward. in almost every way. Its MUCH smaller than the Enterprise-D, E and F....its about the size of Janeway's Voyager..the Intrepid Class. No Enterprise was made from Salvaged and Used parts. BUT...maybe even WORSE things than this becoming the Enterprise-G... Its an insult to the Titan-A. It stood against the Entire star fleet, by its self. It ignores the valor of Capt. Shaw and the Crew of the Titan-A...for everything they did in its five year existence...its been erased. It deserved to stay the Titan-A..and nothing else, because that is more than enough honor, glory and dedication to the Federation. I'm sure THE Moment it was decided to retire the Enterprise-F...plans were made for an Enterprise-G to replace it. What happened to That?!?! And... The Absolute WORSE Thing about the Titan-A is.... The freakin' lighting...half the time you couldn't see shit.. ."Oh, there's some pretty lights. I wonder wht the crew is doing....in the Dark?" You want to 'make a better Enterprise for the 25th century? Turn UP the lighting.

Science was actually only on the starboard side and Comms on port. What you labeled Conn was actually Tactical. And what you labeled as Ops was the Conn. But overall an accurate layout blueprint. I don't love it being rechristened as the Enterprise. I think renaming it the USS Picard would've been more appropriate but I can live with it.

Nice to see the corrected version! I have no idea where you got yesterday´s bridge layout from. And to repeat myself: I adore the Shangri La-class no matter they called it in the show. This class needs some fleshing out of the internal structure fast. But renaming it into the "G" was a mistake. Giving it a distinct name also gave it more character than yet another Enterprise. And why was the F decomissioned, any infos on that? However, good work!

The Titan (& the Enterprise for that matter) deserved better than this. There’s no way you can convince me that Titan-A was a “refit”. At best, the “Neo-Constitution” would make a decent kitbash. And on another note: OSHA must not exist anymore because they’d never allow key areas of the ship-especially the Bridge-to be so dimly lit. Geez, can we turn up the lights a little bit? As the Titan, I love it. As the Enterprise, not so much.
Yeah, the blueprints are classified. They're still drawing up the lighting for the bridge and the rest of the ship. They need time.
Making it the Enterprise G was a mistake and should remain the Titan. It doesn’t make sense and could of plan to set up Enterprise G to be revealed later along with a possible more improved Titan as well.
Wait...the titan had quantum torpedos? What about the multi-phasic shields? What additions and improvements were made when it was re-chrisened Enterprise?
shouldda bugged me i totally have the model.
Will you ever do the Vesta class, or the Luna class
I have only seen clips of the various new Trek shows (with the exception of Lower Decks; I've got all three seasons in my collection), but I really want to see a series where the focus is on Captain Seven of Nine and the Enterprise G. I'm also looking forward to a video on the Cerritos, or at least the California class.
I think the bridge and the nacelles of these new ships are just too big. This bridge should be a room, not a whole studio apartment.
Good job, given the limited technical info available. Was the only toilet on the bridge really accesible juat via the Ready Room? No wonder Shaw was naturally grumpy, with all that extra foot traffic he had to endure! 😄

I have to look to see if its a popular ship on KZread.
Personally, I think they should have just updated, re-armoured and advanced a few of the Galaxy class starships. They should have stuck a third warp nessel on, and added a large phaser lance to the saucer section as depicted in the 'All Good Things' episode. The Enterprise D would have been recommissioned after the F was retired... if that sounds crazy? Well, the Galaxy class took down a cube with barely a skeleton staff operating it 🤷♂️

I've read someone online calling this ship an "underpowered science vessel" in a meme where that was meant to be Picard's reaction to the renaming of the ship. What do you think?
This ship should not have been called Enterprise. As the producers stated, "flagships take quite a beating". This class of starship is not advanced enough (it's basically a kitbash) and simply does not possess the equipment, tactical or technical capabilities to take on missions that would be expected of a flagship.

@@ryanfisher4213I don’t like it either. BUT, I’ve rationalized it this way: usually, when an Enterprise is lost suddenly and prematurely, it is replaced by a placeholder until a new Flagship can be built. Examples: 1) In the mid 2280s, the original NCC-1701 had been regulated to Academy duty as her Excelsior-class replacement was being planned and built. The Genesis Crisis saw the loss of the Enterprise, the Reliant, and the Grissom. These losses had to be rectified short-term, so an old Constitution-class Yorktown was hauled out of mothballs, re named (Enterprise NCC-1701-A (because a newer Yorktown was now in service), and entered into service until the next Enterprise was launched. 2) The NCC-1701-D was lost early in her service life, prompting the rename and launch of a new Sovereign-class NCC-1701-E (not a flagship class), until a true successor of the Galaxy-class flagship, the Odyssey-class NCV-1701-E, could be designed and built. Notably, this didn’t happen after the loss of the NCC-1701-C, resulting in a two-decade absence between 2344-2363.

I'm not happy with this decision. Of course it's the same ship with the same crew but for me It felt like the Titan-A is destroyed. The Enterprise-G is smaller and looks older than the four Enterprises bevor her and last but not least, the Enterprise-J is a ship from the 25th century an the only letter we have between is H. I think they don't use the I cause you can mix it up with the J or the roman number I. So the Enterprises-G and H have to get used for at least 50 years (every one). I would have liked it more to see more about the Titan-A and Enterprise-F.
I hate that they took away the Titan's legacy. I am okay with the ship itself, but it is not a ship of the line. The Enterprise should be a flagship, not a literal in-universe kitbash. And how does it fire torpedo's? The launcher from what I can tell would fire into the saucer....

@@02ujtb00626 The schtick of TNG was that the new hero ship would be the best of the best. It was referred to as the flagship. The 1701 was one of several identical ships in the fleet, later downgraded to training ship. The A was a previous class starship, back from when the fans weren’t obsessed with every new ship being a sports car. Fans were horrified the Excelsior might be the new Enterprise. The B was an Excelsior because it made sense plot-wise, and because the TNG conference room implied it was. The C was a bridge between Excelsior and Galaxy. The E was the new hero ship so they went all out. By your definition, if the D hadn’t been destroyed, the new Sovereign class ship that rolled off the assembly line would have become the new flagship, not the Enterprise, or would the Enterprise D have been decommissioned and it’s name transferred over to the new ship? When a more powerful class than Sovereign was commissioned, would the E automatically be decommissioned and the naming rights transferred over? The Enterprise-G took on the entire Federation fleet single-handedly, and without its crew, Starfleet and Earth would have fallen. Still, fans hate it because it’s internal volume is too low. 😂

As an old fart, when I first saw this, I just assumed this was the byproduct of some soulless board meeting where the producers where like "Ok... I want the Enterprise A... and the Enterprise B.... together. Kinda...kinda like this..." and then one of them take the two Dimond Select Electronic Starships of the Ent. A and B and start banging them together like two dolls having sex.... And then the productobots just plugged that in to the AI starship generator and this thing popped out with a little fart sound effect. Then someone exclaimed "PERFECT! GET EAGLEMOSS ON THE LIN---oh... oh yeah.... shoot..." Turns out someone actually designed this.... I mean it's growing on me... but... IT SHOULDN'T HAVE TO....
Where do you get your info from? If you're going to make Star Trek videos, make sure you have your facts straight before saying a 28 deck starship only has 15 decks. Check memory alpha...they are a good source. Also, pronounce things correctly, En-SIN...not en-sign. And as trekkies, we already know how big the D is... you've also covered it in a number of your videos. You could've also shared alot more of the inside than just the bridge, especially if you're naming the video "inside the..." I normally enjoy your videos, but this one fell flat. Producers are just headless... Still no transwarp, still "phasers and quantum torps"... uncreative ... not only they miss every chance to develop/ invent technological progress, they can't even handle Retro-Trek inventions, that just no one talks about anymore. After all... Enterprise F should still be the Starfleet Flagship. (What about a new Andorian Supercruiser as FEDERATION Flagship???) The producers juste bore the hell out of Star Trek. Borg and Changelings... stupid.
Wtf is an “En sign”??? It’s one word, pronounced “ensin” not “en sign”
erm... the Titan A is given with 560m length. My thoughts about that ship? Are certainly not good. I highly dislike that ship. I cannot understand why Terry Matalas got into oicking over bones and bringing back this hopelessly outdated Constitution Class design! Also I do not see why after the Enterprise F was so big, Starfleet should go back to a roughly Excelsior Class sized vessel for the new Enterprise! For me this simply sucks! And I wished it would have been the Enterprise E being deommissioned on Frontier Day and the Enterprise F woud just have been launched. The Titan A design just sucks. And rechristening a ship that already has a legacy name, is a huge disrespect to that legacy name!

Thank you for your time, but I will have nothing to do with it. I consider all Star Trek after 2005 to be in an alternate reality and unworthy of the spirit of the name. Aside from the ship looking very Retro, it feels as though it is striving for the glory of the past, but missing the mark just like the shows they have been making.
That ship is ugly and it doesn`t look like a starship from 25 century but more like from late 23 century.
