The Logical One The Logical One, for real? You must not know the facts too well. Without their hard painful work, they wouldn’t have even found the brother, the brother wouldn’t even give him up. Do you know the pain it took to even reach to the point of the manifesto getting published? That publication is what got the brother to realize something was up.

@@Benjamin-1776 "for real?" Of course. Please leave the drama to the simpletons. "You must not know the facts too well." Assumption is a tool of the weak minded. You must belong in this category? I know the facts of the case very well. "Without their hard painful work, they wouldn’t have even found the brother, the brother wouldn’t even give him up." What hard work are you talking about. The case went cold for many years. Had it not been for David( his brother), they would have never caught him. What "Painful" work are you talking about? If Kaczynskis' manifesto were never published, odds are, he would have never been caught just the same as the Zodiac. "Do you know the pain it took to even reach to the point of the manifesto getting published?" What "pain"? Please, feel free to enlighten me as to what you think you know. The manifesto was published as a last resort because authorities had nothing. Janet Reno made the call & the manifesto was published. That's it. Really hard work right? "That publication is what got the brother to realize something was up." No shit Sherlock. That was my point. Had David never turned Kaczynski in, he would have never been caught.

@@Benjamin-1776 "having the facts" First & foremost, you should understand the definition of the word fact as you clearly don't know what it means. What facts do you have? Please understand that there is a difference between your opinion, your feelings & facts. The facts are what I have brought to the discussion as they are not debatable. You have said nothing but deflecting talking point & substance free gibberish like "hard & painful" work. Your statements are very vague & have no facts. "and knowing what’s right lands me with that?" What do you mean by "right"? Are you talking about facts, morals or ethics? I am asking because again, your very vague & seem to be of the belief that your offering a lot more in terms of evidence then you actually are.

It was both the failure of the FBI and the breaking of rules by someone at the FBI that lead to his arrest. This case is just another example of how incompetent the top echelon of the FBI is. All they care about is taking someone down, whether or not they are REALLY the person. In this case, it was the rank and file that actually found the right guy. Sacrifices were made by lowly FBI agents to find the right guy. If it weren't for the mishandling of the letter by these agents, we might not have ever caught him.

If you have to become a terrorist, if you absolutely have to, and if you have to murder a human being in a terrorist act, if you absolutely have to do that too - an advertising executive, one of the unabomber's 3 lethal victims - is not a bad choice. All he bought from the store were essentials you would buy from any store 100 years ago (flour, oats, and sugar). Don't belittle this man's dream to be free. No one did it all. Back in the day not one person grew their own oats, wheat (and milled it), and sugar cane and built their cabin and hunted, and took care of their heating and water, etc. Ted got to as close to living human than 99.99% of people in the US. He clearly accomplished his goals, and the only reason he sent bombs was to get his writings into the public eye, and that was accomplished.

You Idiot he wasn't "against" technology in his manifesto he says the government controls with technology he was also tortured at Harvard by professor Henry Murray and that affected him deeply. In the Netflix series Manhunt: Unabomber James Fitzgerald the guy who caught ted with linguistics said " You know I read your Manifesto and it got me thinking. A few weeks ago I was driving on the road and came to a stoplight. I of course stopped and I looked around, there wasn't a single car on the road yet I obeyed. I sat the Stoplight instead of running it." That basically was showing how the government controls us with technology. He had an amazing cause I agree with his cause just not the way he tried to prove his point.

I can understand the curiosity of why people are attracted to the case of the Unabomber. It's bizarre, Ted was bizarre. But, I don't approve or idolize the man who killed innocent people, who done nothing to hurt anyone. Ted got what he deserved, a lifetime in a very small concrete cell. Instead of chirping birds and squirrels, he gets to hear the sound of other prisoners. Instead of walking out of his cabin and enjoying the beautiful Montana countryside, Ted gets the stinky smell of other prisoners. Hope your having fun Ted?

I agree that justice has been done, but I don't agree with your vengeful attitude. Justice is about making wrongs right: compensating victims of crime, incarcerating those who are a danger to society, and protecting the innocent. It isn't about causing evil people to suffer. All that does is increase the suffering in the world.

His targets were not politicians, not the police officers, not the nameless figure heads who are at the top of our society. He attacked the real system. The people who run the system and make things possible for its self propagating. He would of not cared about the president as the president is just another feckless figure head with very little power. He Warned about leftism and how it will lead to our demise. Leftoids do not want to destroy the system but merely want to capture and use it against their enemies.
