For example in one "commerical" port in Sri Lanka which China took for 100 years. They are not putting their ships like Type 052D instead of tankers or container ships.

Its good for weapon sales, and getting countries so depended on you. They have being doing it for years. One big weapon sales man. Create a problem...sell a solution. The fact 90% of the worlds population cant connect the dots is amazing.

This video highlights the two vastly different philosophies to nation building. The US builds military bases, 760 of them, and more on the way, while China builds ports to move goods around the world. The US's priority is to dominate the world via military presence, while China attempts to dominate the world's commerce. The choice is stark. For the west, they have chosen the US for the fear of an Asian country dominating them. Mind you, they were once dominating Asia, and they were rather comfortable with that. For "the rest" of the world, ie. the developing and non western allied world, they chose China, because their national interests don't collide with China's. They wanted goods to be traded between themselves and the rest of the world, and sea transportation is much preferable because it is cheaper. So Chinese's ambition doesn't impinge those non-western nations' interest, but rather enhancing it. That of course won't be agreeable with the US because those "the rest" of the world are voting with their feet, and picked China instead of the US. So what can the US do? Well, there are many if past records are anything to go by. (1). Sanctions (2). Talk up the Chinese threats (3). Block and threaten any country which dare to disobey America's directives. (4). Build more military bases. But money doesn't grow on trees. For the US, money does grow out of printers, and of course selling more bonds, meaning borrowing. Ironically, China is one of the US's major creditors. So China lends money to the US to build more military bases to encircle itself. It makes zero sense. Meanwhile, US politicians are arguing if they should borrow even more in order to pay the interest and to pay for the military which boost the US's mojo.

I see the point with the US trying to influence port investments. However, if China tried to do the same there would be uproar. I respect the US, but feel they do not see how it’s foreign policy can provoke other countries and drive them to partner against the west. Ex. Russia and China

West Companies are colonial tool to enrich themselves not undeveloped large or warm country. I hate them, invent patent, trade secret for always and always having edge on technologies.

Solar panel costs are low because of China not USA. CATL worlds largest battery manufacturer. From EV batteries to Grid storage batteries. China sees the future more than the USA.

US Military have 800 military bases in more than 70 countries and we still afraid of these China ports? 😂

The US is interested in weakening other countries and gaining access to resources while creating poverty. China is coming to invest and has uplifted millions of Africans from poverty....Thanks to China my country Kenya now has paved roads everywhere in the country and a high speed Rail line.,,China is also building a brand new port in Kenya called Port of Lamu which is almost complete.

China largest importer especially South America and Africa. Building ports and supplying infrastructure help. China very proactive vs reactive with lithium, rare earth metals, nickel, copper, etc. most worlds refining of raw metals completed in China. Amazing from rice paddies to superpower in only 60 years. A force to be reckoned with.

It seems that the message is: for the US politicians to feel safe several neighbours, that are as distant as in Africa, are not allowed to have proper infrastructure vital for their development. If we generalize this idea and allow all countries to be equally entitled to feel safe, then we would go back to become hunters and gatherers.

It doesn’t have freedom of shootings, opioids, ganglands, homeless, hunger, lie or being lied upon.

24.9% means china has no voting rights when it comes to that one terminal. So they cannot influence anything happening on it... Btw Hamburg has 42 terminals in total.

This is such nonsense! As usual, to understand U.S. posturing, simply "Follow the Money." The US military is not only large enough to eviscerate China's, it is large enough to take on and defeat the remaining global military balance were they all to unite against the US. As more and more countries catch on to the US MIC's profit-driven intentions (Military-Industrial Complex), the plausibility of a global conflict becomes ever more likely.

Yes, but a concern is that MCI munitions production stock is low due to the Ukraine, so if a 2nd or 3rd front emerges there may be serious initial problems.

it's fine when the US doesn't allow China's investments and cranes. but when it asks other countries not to do so, it is disgraceful. and i think if the US thinks China's crane is threat to national security, just don't use it. buy domestic made crane. these days, american people have seen too much media coverage about this thing. we just don't understand why it is difficult to replace these cranes. the government and media are all talking and zero action.

The US focuses on military, China focuses on development. I would tell the US to step aside.
