Inside the Standard Electrical Locomotive l Indian Railways Engine l Train Driving l 2020
A 360° video (though not literally :P) in the inside of the standard electric engine we see most of the times. The features in the engine are all average, nothing much special about them. To all those who had always dreamed to visit the engine from inside, this video is especially for them. I have tried my best to present the whole engine view. Another interesting thing was that during 2:21, the train encountered chain pulling incident (you can hear the beep) :D
For the ending part of the video, they were some of the stuff that I had found might be interesting for all my viewers. So be sure to WATCH TILL END ! :)

WAP4 is special for my generation. It has its origins in the very similar looking WAP1 that was developed in the very early 80s by CLW to meet the 130 kmph haulage needs of the Howrah Rajdhani Express which until then had to be hauled by the GE WDM4 diesel locomotive even after complete electrification of the NDLS HWH section since IR did not have an electric locomotive to handle those speeds, Thus the bogie of the WDM4 ( mark 1 flexicoil fabricated bogie is what I think it was called ) was the one on which the WAP1 was based and the first examples were used exclusively at first for the Howrah Rajdhani and then the Mumbai Rajdhani whose top speed was then increased from 120 kmph to 130 kmph after the WAP1 took haulage duties from the twin Ratlam WDM 2s between the capital and Ratlam. Later in 1988, the Bhopal Shatabdi was introduced with a top speed of 140 kmph and a blue colored WAP -3 MK2 with cast iron bogies used to do the duties. The WAP4 was the final iteration, with more power and better reliability than its predecessors. The WAM4 is almost history now and soon the WAP4 may meet the same fate..

Though before the advent of WAP era on Rajdhani Express,sometimes or rarely Double headed WAM-4's were also used to haul the Howrah-NDLS Rajdhani Express.This used to be after WDM-4's were being phased out.

See there is a steering wheel at 4:08. Rotating that wheel will increase the locomotive speed
Can a electric loco pilot operate diesel loco or vice versa ?~ Which has more horsepower electric or diesel ?

That's not legal plus , it's not allowed to enter the locomotive unless you take special permission from the authorities
