Hi Chris. Wonderful tour of the Durango. Nice how the there are glass walls surrounding the property. It really brightens up the property. The Food Hall is worth checking out. So many options to choose from.Being only 6 miles away from the Strip, it's definitely worth a visit. Being that they cater to the locals, I'm surprised that it doesn't have a movie theater or a bowling alley like some of their other properties. Thanks for sharing and take care.

I was rooting for Fountainbleau because the North end of the strip needed to stop being Zombieland but I hate to say it, Durango looks more appealing.

Honestly, that food hall itself is a destination. Irvs Burger, Shang Artisan Noodles, Prince St Pizza. . . all excellent places to eat! Might check it out next time!

Wow that really looks like a cool place to go! I like how bright it is, the sportsbook looks comfy, and the food court has some good choices. Thanks for opening my eyes to this one! I'm going to Vegas at the end of March 2024, so I will check this one out!

What's wrong with FB?

I really like the Durango resort. Their food court was probably the best in Vegas. One thing that I do not like is their outrageous room price. For those prices, I would rather stay on this trip.

I prefer the lively vibe of the Durango where the food options and sportsbook surround the gambling area to the Fountaine Bleau where most of the food options are on the 2nd floor and the vibe of the gambling area seemed pretty dead.

As someone from UK I doubt I will ever find the need to go here (especially as no poker room) however I'm genuinely surprised how busy this is given it's locals only. Seems a nice good value hotel though.

There are few and few poker rooms now than in years past, but I did see that the Horseshoe has a good one. Of course the Bellagio is the best one I'd say.

@@SportsBoss999 Fully agree but it's not just the number those that remain (apart from Horseshoe) are all higher stakes places meaning there is less entry points for newer/more recreational players. Clearly casinos are doing this out of financial gain just a shame for someone like me who loves the game.

It’s nice but still overpriced food and beverages… so I’d cross the street and eat Swedish Meatballs and steamed potatoes at the IKEA for less than $10… then head back to play a few more slots!

I went through the Durango and was not impressed by the casino area. Some areas were so cramped that i had to move chairs to get through even without anyone sitting there. To me the colors in the casino looked like they were selected by an HOA. Various shades of beige. I did like the food hall.

How is this different from Resorts World?

This hotel is geared more towards Vegas locals. Resorts World is geared more towards Convention business

I moved from Seattle to Las Vegas to retire at age 50. I was seeking sunshine, a backyard pool, and fun Strip journeys. I got all that plus EXTREMELY rude, speeding drivers that drive 90+ mph on local freeways, and roads, cutting you off at any moment. Extremely unfriendly locals that all hate Californians (luckily I’m from Seattle). And endless nondescript strip malls with no personality or charm (also no quaint neighborhoods…..just strip malls). …..But there is sunshine…..finally! 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Can you include whether or not smoking is allowed in your reviews? Sometimes you mention it but not every time. Even though Las Vegas prides itself in great airflow, I have found the smoke-free casinos to be extremely refreshing and will seek them out.

I just visited the Durango on December 23rd and sadly it’s not smoke free. However, I did find the air quality to be very clean and not smoky at all.
