    Honestly I actually think this game might’ve shown wemby a little bit about how effective that mid range game could be for him with his height. This is a really good learning experience for him.

  • @DeanGl

    @DeanGl

    9 ай бұрын

    His mid-range has been on point all season. I do not get why they insist on having him get the ball from beyond the arc. He is not a good 3 point shooter. He wasn't in France and idk why people keep saying that he is now. He can make those, sure but not at a good clip.

  • @leviuzumaki3903

    @leviuzumaki3903

    @@DeanGl I think it’s because he hasn’t mastered the turn around jumper in the post yet, or he’s not strong enough to get in the position to do it. If you notice when he posts up he goes right into a face up position right away because he’s not comfortable in that post. Where players like KD, Kobe, Jordan, dirk, Tim Duncan, wilt etc. elevated their mid range scoring was actually in the low post. If he masters that turn around jumper from that low post position and gets more comfortable and consistent with it, he’ll be a force, especially with him still being able to dribble, and still being able to shoot the 3 pointer. It’ll make him very very difficult to guard especially if he becomes almost automatic because it’ll be nearly impossible to guard especially if he combines it and mixes it in with the face up triple threat he likes to do.

  • @DeanGl

    @DeanGl

    9 ай бұрын

    @@leviuzumaki3903 He has shown flashes though. Like what he did in the post in the Rockets game. He's been better when operating from mid-range. He doesn't have to be Tim Duncan. He can even face up at the high post like Dirk. That's definitely better than starting beyond the arc like a wing when he hasn't shown that he's able to get by perimeter defenders consistently nor has the touch to just shoot over people from deep.

  • @leviuzumaki3903

    @leviuzumaki3903

    @@DeanGl I think he’s shown flashes of both mid range, and three point scoring and dribble driving, in all honesty. But more so just needs more repetition, but of course he can face up in the post like dirk but dirk still had that fade away to that created that space I haven’t really seen that from victor is kind of what I mean. If he works on it a bit, I think it’ll be unstoppable. Which is why personally I think the best thing for him this off season would be to get in the lab with either dirk or hakeem and just practice getting comfortable in that area. He should definitely work from the inside out though I agree, although more like a way to get a consistent basket. Like always having that as your main option then having the 3 pointer and dribble drive and everything else mixed in with it I guess is what I’m saying if that makes sense at all. But I definitely see tons of potential!

But this game shows how he as a complete player, perhaps 'perfect player' that ever play the game! His Heigth-Span, Playmaking, BasketBall IQ, skill set, Athleticism as a rookie and agility comes with Electrifying Leadership. And even his rookie year he was good at putting up decent numbers because of his sheer size and athleticism by dunking almost every play. Trust me, I'm 43 . I grew up in his era. My best friend was a die hard Magic fan. We went and seen that magic team with Penny, Tree Rollins, D. Scott, N Anderson, S Smiles etc come practice in my neighborhood at FIT , which is a college in Melbourne FL.
