@@Warfreak I love Jokic, but he choked. His offense wasn't flowing like it usually does. You can tell he was hesitant and unsure of what to do a majority of the time. He also failed to box out Kat/Naz late in the 4th for 2 rebounds which pretty much sealed the game.

This basically. Jokić and Murray went crazy but played 47 and 43 minutes respectively. The others didn't give much. There needs to be more depth, even if you have the best player in the world.

Jokic seems to like what basketball has done for him, his family and his community .... but I never get the feeling that he absolutely loves playing the game. Only a few superstars give you that "wow, I LOVE doing this" feeling. Steph Curry does. Ant Edwards does.

This series was so great because there was so much respect on both sides!! Just two teams slogging it out and dusting themselves off; unpersonal and just great all around basketball

@@LorenzoC36 The league isn’t better than when Kobe/Shaq, Jordan/Pippen, Hakeem/Drexler, etc won back to back championship. The league is watered down now. Two words: load management. Players back then played all or close to all 82 games and still won back to back championships. Team’s star players didn’t sit out pivotal games because they were injured from not playing enough. Today’s game is 95% outside shooting. Back then you had to have an inside and outside game plus play hard nose defense. Traveling was actually called back then. Players didn’t take 4/5 non dribbling steps to get to the rim. Players were better skilled with the fundamentals.
That 3 peat from Kobe & Shaq don't get enough credit!!! Imagine Kobe saying he was gassed/tired after being eliminated!!!!

Yeah,gotta give Phil and his coaching staff-EQUAL-credit for that 3-peat,until Phil and his team came aboard,the Lakers couldn't get past the 2nd round of their conference. Phil had the respect of the Laker players ( Shaq said this in his bio-book ) and the resume to back it up.

I was pulling for the wolves all series long, but you literally cannot hate Jokic even if you don't like his playstyle. Super humble, always gives props to the other team, great authentic answers to the reporter's questions.

I think both these teams deserve their flowers. Denver coming back from a 0-2 then winning 3 straight games reminding people why they're the champs. And Minnesota finishing big winning a game 7 on the road coming back from a 20-point deficit demonstrating why they're the best defense. I mean, this was an amazing, exciting, hard fought series. I fully enjoyed it. And I love that no champ has been able to even get past round 2 in the following playoffs; it shows how much more competitive the league is getting to the point that "dynasties" don't even form anymore. Every year we have a different beast.

You could see from 3rd quarter on Denver was tired. Only 2 or 3 playmakers. MN had endless playmakers toward the end. Plus the foul situation really helped

@@timothywoods4329 if you want to make that argument for LeBron in the East I can say the same thing for the Nuggets in the West last year going up against inferior teams (#8 T-wolves, #7 Lakers, #5 Suns, and then #8 Heat in the finals) en route to the championship last year.
Andre Iguodala's book "Sixth Man" explains very well how tough it is to go back 2 back
except for Jokic, the whole team choked. Murray had to choke extra hard down the stretch to lose it. They need a couple more consistent players. They traded away those two guys.

Nah parity is so much better and more entertaining. It’s much more competitive, level and unpredictable so way more fun to follow and watch. 2015 and 16 were fun but as soon as KD got there only the East was fun to watch until 2020
