Today Sports Dissected is welcomed to Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, home of the Florida Gators Softball team. Most recently, a major $15 million renovation brought about new amenities for student-athletes and staff in addition to the Rosemary Oberndorf Softball Training Facility, located in left field, which houses the new team locker room, lounge, training room, coaches offices, film room, conference and equipment rooms. I love watching college softball. I think college softball is very underrated and most people don't realize how entertaining it is. So I'm glad to see a college put in millions of dollars into their softball facility. My two favorite college softball teams are the Texas Longhorns and the UCLA Bruins. I would like to see their facilities.

@@Messup7654 just as a fan of all sports it’s interesting to see the facilities that athletes have access to regardless of sex. As a father and somebody who watches a lot of women sports, it’s important to promote and support female athletes so younger athletes are aware of the options they have for their futures.

The Florida Gators have a $65 million Baseball Facility and a $15 million Softball Facility. Important to note that Title IX does not require equitable school facilities. There are often significant disparities in the quality of Facilities. And this school has undoubtedly spent much more on their women’s facility than most schools.
PLZ give Us More Softball Facilities.. Dont Get me Wrong I Enjoy The Football Facilities but Softball Is Awesome. As a TCU alumni and Fan It is Very annoying TCU doesnt Have A Softball Team.

I am all for Title IX and any and every attempt to bridge the gender gap. But two wrongs do not make a right. I am confident that $15 million could have been better spent for the benefit of the overall university community rather than the excess of a facility solely dedicated to UF softball. I am also confident that the facility did not cost anywhere near $15 million, and that a cabal of university fat cats just got fatter off some sweet kickbacks. I know dry wall is expensive at Home Depot, but this defies basic math.

15 million more wasted in nonsense. Why not spend it on TAs? Ah, you say women softball generates, say, 31 million? Ok, I will shut up then... Waiting for a 150 million facility for... errr, curling, a winter sport in Florida.
