Inside The £1,000/night Executive Room at The Langham Hotel London

The Langham Hotel London Room Tour
We often stay at hotels near Covent Garden and the Strand area of London, so we thought we would try a different part of London, as our base for some London shopping!
We chose The Langham hotel, for its close proximity to Regent Street and Oxford Street. It’s right in amongst the hustle and bustle of all the shops but offers a quiet haven when needed.
The Langham hotel offers a choice of rooms and suites to suit any 5-Star hotel budget.
We booked an Executive Room, which comes with access to their ‘Langham Club’. The Langham Club is available with all Executive Rooms and Suites to enjoy. Enjoy we did!
The Langham Club has to be hands down the best hotel lounge that we’ve ever experienced. It wasn’t just the included free flowing champagne from midday that swung it for us. But, the choice of food, the very attentive staff who just couldn’t do enough for you, and the overall feel of the place.
We did want to be able to tell you all about the food and afternoon tea in the public areas, however these were all booked up when we enquired a week before arriving. Afternoon tea at The Langham is very popular. So much so that as hotel guests we couldn’t book it. Luckily for us, the Langham Club made up for that.
We did try breakfast and dinner on one of the evenings in The Wigmore, which is a traditional London pub, attached to The Langham. The Wigmore was very good, and continued the high standards provided by the hotel.
In this video we take you on a room tour of an Executive Room at The Langham, London.
Sadly, on reviewing back the video footage only once home, we discovered that the device we were using to record on, had malfunctioned. We’ve recovered the video as good as we can, however we do apologise for the shaky footage. We decided to still publish the video, but it has fallen below our usual standards. Lesson learnt for next time!
We’d love to hear your comments on what UK hotels you’d recommend visiting. What do you think of the Executive Room at The Langham, London?

I have seen this hotel but didn't stay there. I lived not far. A bit of it's history would have been helpful. It's very renovated in early 90's as it's an old building. A bit of footage of hotel and bar would also not hurt. A very nice room indeed. £1000 a night is expensive though. Please do reviews on other country hotels too. Is it worth the price etc. Do reviews on Paris Shangrla Hotel and 4 Seasons Paris too.

Not a very exciting video - no sense of the level of service which is much more important than counting sockets beside beds. Location and history are also important and largely overlooked. Pity.

Fair comment. This was purely based on the room, but we are looking to cover more hotel wide areas and facilities. The room was just a small part of the overall experience. The hotel was great, just not conveyed in the video as you say. Onwards and upwards! 👍

Yes I have to agree. Nice spacious room which is great, I cant’s stand small rooms and there are some much smaller examples in top London hotels that charge just as much. HoweverI I still think these hotels are in general overpriced, same for Paris and Rome. Result of over tourism which has sent prices skyrocketing.

Lovely room. I assume the thousand pound per night was room only? Did you feel it was value for money? Did you have breakfast at the hotel ..was that top notch? Thanks!

@@Barbara-yj5tl Yes, that rate was room only. We ate breakfast at the hotel on two mornings. The first was in their adjoining pub 'The Wigmore', where you can order from the menu, or go up to the buffet breakfast. It was nice, and whilst a pub, it was the same high service as in the hotel. On the 3rd morning we ate breakfast in the 'Langham Club'. That's the executive lounge, which we had included in the room rate. The food was probably the best hotel breakfast we had ever had. We ordered from the menu and the food is cooked to order. Another plus side, is that they serve breakfast all the way up until midday. The staff were fantastic. Really efficient, with the best warm, couldn't do enough for you, personalities. We will certainly be going back there, and we'll be recording a full video this time! As far as value for money goes, if we look at it against other 5 star hotels, then yes, really good value. There are some London 5-star hotels that charge far more for that grade of room, yet provide so much less overall. We highly recommend The Langham.
