I 100% agree. I will NEVER recommend my friends to spend more than $40 bucks on the game. Even as a concierge player. The game is more fun when you have to grind and earn. 95% of ppl playing will be playing these starters and they need to be the main focus
@neofromthewarnerbrothersic145
20 күн бұрын
@@terrandysart3587 That's one way to look at it. Another way is that everyone might start with those ships, but they won't stay in them for long. No matter how reliable they are, there just isn't a whole lot they can do very well, so maybe it's better to focus on others. That said, the starters are small, simple ships so it should be pretty easy to give them a gold pass. And since they are "starters," yeah, at the very least they should be rock solid in terms of reliability. I didn't have any problems with the Aurora when I started... but I only flew it for maybe a week, then started renting Cutty+ROC until I could afford to buy Cutty+ROC.
@TimothySnowman
20 күн бұрын
@@neofromthewarnerbrothersic145 I think giving the starters a gold standard pass will allow new players to dip their toe into gameplay loops that are currently lacking, even if they're only using them briefly. None of the 3 starters that I mentioned currently have deployable components, so when they inevitably upgrade to a ship that does, it may be confusing or overwhelming to suddenly have to worry about them. That said, this will only really matter if we get Engineering before every ship gets its gold standard pass, which, looking at the cards for 4.0, may be the case.

@StevenSudweeks

@@vincebarry9840 if that's all it's for then why not do that when they sold the C8R? It also has a T3 bed. This is solving a ton of issues. Is it perfect? No. It's needs some sort of balancing for example most people are saying it needs a medical commodity that you have to keep stocked in order to heal, or it has a cool down, or make it like ammo and fuel that can only be filled at a landing zone/station. Any of those would be good balancing. With how janky and buggy this game can be, being able to quickly respawn without having to backspace or wait 20 mins to be rescued is a good thing.
@rhadiem
20 күн бұрын
I like it, but I think they'll need to give it a cooldown so you can't respawn on it over and over in a short period. Once an hour on a T3 seems reasonable. It's a safety net but an arcade FPS game. Die twice and you have to go to a T2+ somewhere else.

I like how there’s a visual difference between the in game older Aegis ships and the more modern offerings. Hope that is retained as the older ships get update passes.
Here are the changes i think will help medical gameplay especially with the medivac: 1. you need some kind of resource you respawn a human, like dna culture or a human goop that you can buy 2. the only way to respawn someone is if the medivac is currently in use by someone on a panel who can see incoming regeneration pings 3. The job of the medic is to get alerts on their panel/computer while in operation so they can receive alerts while driving and are able to manually revive someone currently in a revive queue that you can accept, and there should be someone kind of mini game to respawn them, balancing the amount of dna or matter thats being produced to keep the regen meter in a green state or else regeneration fails and the player is sent to a hospital instead 4.Also for the medics to receive a viable income they will receive payment upon successful regeneration of player or squad mate ,and you are able to regenerate your party members, and see regen queues that are within your ping distance and can accept them. I think this will offer compensation for use of tier 3 beds without being op via requiring someone to generate the body manually, and give medics a critical role in a battle, like mechanics
As a Raven owner I'm glad to see the rework and that they kept the exclusivity. Do agree that other ships probably should have had priority in getting them up to gold standard though.
