The British shouldn't be allowed to make documentaries about firearms, they just can't handle the fact that other societies have free men with balls that can defend themselves and their families.

You only need to study what happened during WWII to understand why Philippine citizens believe in gun ownership. Unfortunately, criminals and terrorists will use guns for evil. No matter what laws you pass. As an American and lover of freedom. I don't understand why politicians want to disarm freedom, law abiding citizens. Police and military will never be able to protect everyone. That responsibility must fall upon the people.

Sadly, its because freedom is granted to us by the USA. We lost the Philippine - US war. I would bet that the culture would be more gun leaning if we founded our country through the force or arms and not through alms.

It is not the gun is dangerous. It is the human is holding it
Police officers arrive at the scene of a crime after the crime has been committed. Victims are at the scene of the crime during the crime. Protect yourself.
I’m a legally armed civilian in the Philippines. Tbh It’s more of a hobby for me than self-defense. I think it’s more important to actually avoid situations that will endanger yourself than to have a gun and actively seek danger or situations that may escalate. It all boils down to situational awareness. Even if you carry one if SHTF and you’re complacent then it’s pointless and most likely you will end up dead because you carry one.
@josefjob

It is taught in gun self defense classes that you should avoid or escape dangerous situations if possible and firearms are always the last resort. If SHTF and you are killed. You are not killed because you carry one, it's because you are not trained enough to be effectively use it.

Inaccurate Depiction of Gun Culture in the Philippines
its better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it
A knife in the hand of a chef is a tool. A knife in the hand of a criminal is also a tool. One uses the tool for good things the other uses the tool for violence. Guns are the same. They are tools for good or evil. It is the user who determines the use of the tool.
Guns are ok if the proper education is there...if i lived at a country likePhilippines i would get a gun for sure. Just becuse there are bad apples in a bunch it doesnt mean all are rotten. Even if there are laws against guns the criminals know how to get the guns... I live in Finland one of the most strict gun law countries on earth and still criminals easily get guns here.. Heck they last summer busted 3D Gun printer factory at Tampere. Pointless as war on drugs

Guns don’t kill people .. people kill people… leave a gun lying on a table it does nothing .. only when it’s in the hands of a individual is it capable of doing harm and in that case dependent on the morality and intent of the individual who possesses it . Good or evil intent of the individual
