We hit 1,000,000 views OMG!!! Thank you so much Glamfam for all the love and support! My mom is up in heaven dancing away! Never in a "million" years (no pun intended lol) did we think this video would hit over a million views!!! So blessed that you all enjoyed it! My mom was an amazing Cosmetologist of 50yrs and she worked so hard until literally the day she unexpectedly passed away! So talented at her craft and had such a passion for beauty!!! I"m literally crying right now because I miss her so much and wish she was here to share this excitement I feel for reaching this milestone! I hit 10K subscribers this week and if it wasn't for her encouraging to pursue a career change at 40, I wouldn't be here doing what I was meant to do! My passion for makeup, beauty and hair came from my beautiful mom and was something we enjoyed to together since I could walk! Thank you to all who watched and continue to click on this video! Please remember to SUBSCRIBE if you are are new here and comment below say hello and like this video! We have the most amazing GLAMFAM community and it's this community that gets me through the toughest days of my grief!! Love you all so much and again thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support!!! My mom in heaven: "YAYYYYYY.....(doing her little dance with shoulder shrugs she performed every morning because she loved mornings) it's my video that's going to put your channel on top! Yes she would probably be rubbing that in and thinking she was a Social Media Celebrity lol! For those that are new you can check out the video on how I lost my mom back in 2019. It was a day I still can't process but god had a different plan! 😥

Hi Kristy. I just came across your channel and this was the second video I watched of yours. I loved the love between mother and daughter. You can feel the love for each other. I had no idea she passed away until I wrote you a comment stating how lovely the two of you are. I was appreciating the love because my mom passed away when I was 23 yo and I loved how the two of you interacted. Then I read this comment and it broke my heart. I am truly sorry she passed away. 😢

@VitainFlorida thank you so very much for kind words! I’m so sorry you lost your mom so young! I’m not sure if you have a daughter but that bond is so special! It’s one of those things where you’re so blessed to have it on one end but as you know it’s so hard when it’s suddenly taken away! She taught me so much in this world but she did not teach me how to live without her. I’m doing my best but as you have already gone through it just takes time. My birthday is on Sunday and I still can’t fully appreciate or even want to celebrate with either of my parents! You just feel so alone. But I know they gave us more strength than we ever thought we would have!! Thank you for sharing your story and I love my Glamfam community so much they really got me through these last almost four years in July! She was a big part of my channel and I’m determined make her proud! 🥰 Your words meant so much to me and thank you for bringing a smile to my face this birthday weekend!! Hope you’re doing good and look forward to chatting with you more!! Big hugs ! ❤️😘🤗

I don't have one specific memory of your mom, but remember how happy she always was. She was always so cheery and friendly and a joy to be around. I loved that she'd join us for our girls dinners and that she enjoyed spending time with us too. ❤

Can't believe we are almost at a million views. I woke up this morning to a nightmare and have been falling apart all morning missing my mom. I decided to go back and watch some videos of this beautiful angel and I can't thank you all enough for watching, liking and commenting on this video! For those who are not aware, I lost my mom unexpectedly and out of no where July of 2019. My worst nightmare come true and my life has and will never be the same without my best friend. I'm so grateful that we have our videos to go back and watch. I did release a video after she passed that you can watch. I will link it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eZOmmNp9qNC2gKQ.html It's extremely emotional but if you've ever lost a loved one you will understand. We started my KZread channel together and had so many videos we were prepping a couple days before she died but were never able to film. I will never give up on this journey her and I decided to create together. She taught me everything she was blessed with and I plan on continuing making the best videos I can. I don't have children to keep living for, but I do have a baby (my channel) her and I started together and that's the one thing that keeps me going after losing her. If you watch my video of her passing you will understand that bond we shared which was beyond mother and daughter! Thank you with all my heart to everyone who has liked, shared and watch this video! She use to check the progress of this video every morning on her iPad, when we would sit and have coffee (we lived together) and would say OMG we have a 100 views and then the count kept going fast but never in a million years did we think we would get to a million in 2021! And yes...she would read all the comments good and bad. I know she's beaming in heaven! My goal is to reach a million by the anniversary of her passing so hopefully this will pick some speed by July 12, 2021!!! Love you all so much! ❤️🙏🏻 Never thought I could even breathe without my mom. She taught me everything, but she never taught me how to live without her! 😥

You're so lucky having a mom that would do hairstyles on you. My mom wouldn't touch my hair, so it was Dad who would have to brush my hair when I was a kid. And Dad, well, he tried. He did his best. Now as an adult, I've taught myself how to do hairstyles and braids (thanks KZread!) and do these styles on my 7 year old daughter- this is one of our favorites.

Hi Alexis!!! No doubt you will have this mastered and your baby girl is so lucky to have an awesome mommy! If you can tag me on IG when you do it I would love to see your precious girl! This comment brought tears to my eyes! I unfortunately lost my precious mom and best friend unexpectedly in July of 2019. She would read these comments and just smile so big and it just makes me so incredibly happy to see that they just keep living on and I know she’s smiling down in Heaven!!! I’m literally crying writing this because everyday she would go and see how many views she would get! She would have flipped if she saw it hit 1 million. She was so incredibly talented!!! She was doing that same braid and many more when I was your daughters age so it’s crazy because I’m about to turn 45 and it’s crazy how popular these braids are now. It’s because of my mom I started my channel and now I am bound and determined to make her proud and grow my channel! Thank you so much for this comment because it makes me smile so big even though my heart hurts so badly. ❤️🥰🙏🏻

I have never been able to do french braids (that looked semi decent, it'll be either loped sided or just weird looking) until I watched your mama explain and gave her easier tips on how to do it. (The thump tip😍) I've watched a few videos of other ppl, about different kinds of braids and I'm not that great at them. I'm a tomboy, but I have a 8 year old that's a girly girl, for a daughter. So, I've been trying to learn new hairstyles that she likes. I wish she would have a channel bc the lil things she says (like the add hair to your thumb when french braiding, helped me alot), makes it easier to do/understand. Does she do anymore hairstyles on your videos?? 😍😍😍😍

Kristi Allure Oh I’m so sorry to hear about both of your losses. I lost my fiancé a couple years ago. He was only 36. Besides him, my mom is my other rock and best friend and I can’t even imagine what you both must be going through. Grief is like nothing else. For me it was the most agonizing and brutal pain I’d ever known while somehow being the most beautiful and sacred transformation at the same time. There’s one thing I know for certain and that is that our loved ones never really leave us. They might not be here physically anymore, but they are with us-just in a different way. Love is so powerful and while it’s true that the bigger the love, the more devastating the loss, it’s also true that stronger the love, the stronger the bond that connects you. The stronger the bond, the stronger their presence in your life. Sending you both healing. Be kind to yourselves. 💗

👍😍This mother - daughter video is adorable. I’ve been braiding hair since I was 5 years old & watching people who don’t really know anything about braiding or how to really do it....is hilarious. 💞

Kristi Allure - 😔😢😭Oooh no...I’m soooo sorry you lost your mom. She seemed so sweet. She was being so patient and loving explaining how to do the braid. It’s such a blessing that you have video in addition to your fond memories to look back on. I lost my mom a few years ago and I wish I could tell you it gets easier but I’m still not over it. Take your time. Don’t let anyone tell you how to grieve or how long you should grieve. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏 Hugs. 🤗

Awe thank you so much Elizabeth!!! My mom would’ve loved to have been able to read this comment! She would always ask me what did they say!!! She was indeed a goddess in her craft! She hit 50 years at the same salon in the same spot and it was my home away from home! My mom unexpectedly passed away in 2019! She was fine healthy, energetic and then one day she never woke up! It completely changed my life forever and I’m still in shock and grief is beyond! She was my best friend, we lived together till the day god took her home and I never in a million years thought I could even breathe without her! She was my soulmate, my other half and we spent every second of the day together! I started my channel with her so they only thing keeping me going is following out this dream her and I had and not letting her down! So thank you from the bottom of my heart for commenting and saying this because it means more to me and my mama then you will ever know! We had a handful of videos together that’s in so blessed to always have! I’m so glad you’re client loved it! I’m 43 and my mom has been doing that hairdo on me since I was 2 and I had a ton of hair! 🙃 She is smiling down from heaven! Xo ❤️🙏🏻😘

I love this! But I don't think I could do this on myself. As a mom of 5 I've found myself to be sporting the messy bun way too much and was looking for something I could do to change it up but where my hair wouldn't be in my face (my hair is way too long). This is how I found y'alls video because believe it or not (btw all this time I had no idea the braid had a name! I just thought I was doing it wrong all these years! Insert face slap here) the inside out braid aka the Dutch braid is the only way I know how to braid. I have 3 girl's though so I'll definitely be trying this look on them! Very detailed video, thank you! Tell your mom I said thank you as well!

Absolutely loved your mom's instructions for doing the braid headband. I have naturally curly, and very frizzy hair. While I plan to be in Florida next year, I would love to be able to wear my hair in a high ponytail that is braided, but I would absolutely love to be able to do the braid headband all the way around the head and hide the beginning/end. Would you and your mom be able to show something like I've described. I'm about your mom's age and have very long hair. Braiding my hair is really the only way to keep it neat looking in hot & humid weather. Thanks so much.

Hi Kathleen I wish she could have seen this comment she always enjoyed reading them! Unfortunately my mom unexpectedly passed away in July and I just filmed a video on my absence while I grieve. Finally getting back into videos. I will figure a way to film that so check back from time to time! She taught me a lot! There is a way I’m thinking you can do that but you would still have to break it up. Let me ponder that! 😘❤️

I too LOVE big hair. Stylist today just don't get it. They never give me the height I want. Thank you beautiful girl and yes your mother is very talented and a good teacher. I've never been able to French or regular braid my hair but I think her instructions sound so simple I will give it a try. Fyi, my husband braids my hair and taught our daughter to do her own. ☺️

My favorite memory was when we all met at her salon, got ice cream and hair cuts and when she went to cut my hair, she said "what's going on here?!?!?". LOL. I guess my previous cut by another stylist wasn't up to her standards. 😆
