My Mom is the personification of anxiety, she literally gives off an aura of it, causing others around her to feel anxious when she is around. Like you said, never really thought about it, but as you said, it is from a constant want to control the future, or atleast constantly thinking into the future and being fearful of those silly fantasies of what they imagine will happen, etc. Like you said, somebody like her could probably benefit from a movie like this with the topic greatly, but unfortunately nearly no people and adults especially can relate what they are watching with themself and consider self-reflecting and actually evolving from this for the better.

Riley breaks the curse, in a sense. All within herself. She didn't read a book on psychology or go to a therapist. That was the main takeaway to me. I'm still blown away that this movie had that sort of message embedded in it. The popcorn munchers have no clue.

@@PostNostalgos To some extent, I think any piece of media (and maybe anything in general if you want to go to the extremes) can be used to evolve oneself, or realize something about oneself, or in this instance reach a form of enlightenment and such. It really just depends all on the individual's perspective and what they can take away from that thing. For me I think a game like Earthbound is definitely one of those things, atleast one that sticks out in my mind anytime a subject like this pops up. Though I think some things make this much more clear, even for the less perceptive types, such as this Inside Out 2 movie, atleast it should, but most people don't look inward, so even the most obvious things will go in one ear out the other as you said.

@@PostNostalgos There are definitely some low points during the game, but I think it is definitely worth seeing it to the end.

"low points" is a good way to describe it. I got spoiled by the pacing with games like Chrono Trigger, which is relatively short for a Jrpg, and that game is a bit of a roller coaster with its pacing. Its like the Chinese take-out of jrpgs, but in a good way. Hundreds of hours spent on that game, lol.
