I used to firmly believe the alt stories and theories. There’s obviously a lot of shady stuff and coincidences… but didn’t fully understand his state of mind and how it all ended until I experienced really tough times myself. Then I understood how weak and tricky your mind can be and how a bad day could led you to do something real stupid that you can regret for life.. imagine it in times where mental issues weren’t a common topic in people’s life, apart from being extremely famous, addicted to drugs and dissociated by your feelings vs an entire world who treats you like a divine figure

Being way beyond capable of dealing with being a major act, yeah Nirvana were barely able to hold it together as an indie act. These bands were never equipped to handle success, because nothing about them said they wanted it (or more specifically had no major vision outside where they were at) , they were miserable and unstable before they made it big. Then when you make them big you're really shaking the soda can

As a fully recovered addict, I can say with a certainty that the thoughts of scoring and getting drugs was all Kurt could think about and all he wanted to do while on tour in Europe. His other band mates didn’t do heroin with him, so he was completely isolated from them. They couldn’t relate to him at all. Just look how Phil’s Heroin addiction destroyed Pantera. Same thing here

They covered Kurt (including his face for privacy) in a white sheet in Rome while he was lying on a stretcher on the way to the ambulance. I'll never forget that when they interviewed Courtney, she wanted to make sure the paparazzi got pics and video of him covered up like a corpse. She hoped that when Kurt saw these pics, they'd scare him from hurting or killing himself. That's why I've always believed her.

It's really quite shocking how many commenters think Courtney was responsible for Kurt's death. It's really indicative of so many things.
