Kate Shearman I am not sure with high levels of riding such as his barn. But the smaller show barns (kids, teens, etc.), the horses are only allowed out for a few hours, and then they are lunges to burn off excess energy. And a lot of them have miserable personalities. Mind you, that’s not every barn, but that was my experience working at them.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Your philosophy on how you treat horses. I’ve always said if you don’t at least have a small pasture you shouldn’t own a horse. Grazing in a green grassy field is a horse’s favorite thing to do. And to deprive them of that is terrible. I love also how you have a place for work and a place for rest and pleasure. It has to be psychologically emotionally great for the horses These fantastic animals as you said are our partners and friends not our slaves and to keep them constantly locked up in little stalls is like a jail cell. . Thank you for taking such good care of your animals and treating horses the way they were meant to be treated

I've been binging stable tour videos recently, and I'm so glad to see how horse friendly his stable is. It's really surprising how many fancy facilities have no thought put into how the horse feels.

I have seen so many depressed and over trained dressage horses having lives of monotony and lacking appropriate equine connection to land etc and have really disliked much of the dressage world. But these horses have their mental health really looked after so well and are allowed to be horses and are living a balanced life, all their needs are fully realised and they are a great model to others on how to care correctly for their horses. Some of these high end stables are so beautiful but are just horrible lives for many horses, this is really lovely seeing this . Wondering if they could just perhaps take 2 welfare cases a year to rehab and move on . What great people they are.

I love how you turn them out together. I even kept my stallions with a gelding.

Thanks for sharing your stables. I come from a Racing background working with Thoroughbreds America's top Tracks. I just discovered Valegro and Charlotte , and dressage. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks again for the tour.
