Tens of thousands of emails, meetings galore until your sick in the stomach, and these meetings will have you flying all across the planet to secure deals. Contracts for land permits which can take over a decade to get approved by the state/ local government depending on the region. You'll need architects and designers for not only the shell of the building but the internal layout and logistics which is significantly more complicated since you'll want the assembly line process as streamlined as possible while also making enough room for expandability for when new equipment/ new models of vehicles are to be produced. You'll need many electricians to install direct tap lines from the nearest power plant with sub station DC hook ups that way you have a pure connection of power and you dont run the risk of shortening out the local power grid. You will become very good friends with Kuka industries which is the leading fabricator of multi axis welding and assembly based robotic arms ( almost always used in the automotive industry ) depending on the size of the facility youll need to order at least 200 of them which is a cool 30 million dollars.

I picked up my new 4 series a couple of weeks ago. Cool to see how it was made.

this is mocked up from covid 2020 i think, i know as i have one of these cars delivered sept 2020 i recognise my current car, super happy with it , the video was released by BMW to remind customers they were still building cars when the world shut down. Its a Fabulous car. My next order is another 4 series for 2024 delivery, these guys will be building it. Thanks BMW i love your work and for giving me such pleasure with my 4 series.

I worked in a car factory for 2 years doing the same thing they are doing in 4:40. Under the car there is an employee doing the alignment while the driver aim the lights instead of be just waiting.

This is a great video. I wish they would provide information about the labor and working conditions. Like, how many hours do these guys work a week? And, how does training work? Is it an apprentice system, or is there a school you need to go to to get a diploma? I bet these guys make a lot of money. Germany is a very enlightened and pro-craftsman society! Speaking as a true red-blooded American, we have a lot to learn from them!

Well this depends on where you live and what you spend your money on. 100.000 sounds like enough money for this car if you save for some years, are financially stable and put the car at a high priority.

@@achristian7015 Maybe if you live in first world country you can say its a "Priority" issue. But even then I honestly doubt it. To be able to comfortably afford a 100k car you need to be making close to 200k a year. Do you know how many people actually make that type of money globally? Not many. Which brings us to a point that most buyers of these cars simply cant afford them but go balls deep into debt to buy them, then sell them a year or two down the line because they can't even afford maintenance cost, registration and gas. I'm not surprised cars like this find buyers. I am surprised how many average joes get into 800$+ monthly payments just to get one, then struggle month to months to pay rent and utillity bills...

I make $155K per year and own a 2017 Nissan 370Z (tastefully modded and tuned to 362hp), and a 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X SUV. Most vehicles these days cost more than both of those combined, yet I have a sports car that is a blast to drive, and a super practical shift on the fly 2WD/4WD SUV that I can take off-road. Both have been super reliable as well since they are not overly complicated with BS stuff.

If bmw produced as fast as we're watching, then Adolf Is mad as hell 😂

is there any point in checking a car at the end of the process? I mean what are they going to do if they found a flaw, dump the car? Better to check for standards at each step of the process I would think. The final check then is not even necessary.

It’s an ELECTRIC VEHICLE you don’t think they need to make it exceptionally DIFFERENT . So that means it’s not made for you that’s all , stop being so insulting what do you do for a living . I think the Engineer’s are doing a FABULOUS JOB , keep up the AMAZING & GENIUS IDEAS of being UNIQUE in every sense of the word BMW . I never had one but hopefully looking forward to one in the Near Future . Sir just go buy yourself a Ford or a GM and you’ll be Fine after ok . A detto anche che anche se costasse 100000 Mila euro anche li la garanzia totale non la mettono in atto ... MI DISPIACE se la BMW GERMANIA non rimedia ad un loro difetto io l'ho pagata 58000 Mila euro e i soldi erano buoni ... E nonostante tutto ho fatto anche assicurazione e Best 5 per avere una GARANZIA TOTALE MIGLIORE ... SE qualcuno mi può dire con chi si può dire che prenderanno provvedimenti...

New BMW looks awful because of heavy front "pig nose" style

BMW used Hankook tires on this model. What a shame, they are very bad, make noise, lose stability and control, and are uncomfortable on bumps.
