Whenever you go somewhere for the first time ever and you realize to yourself how's it gonna be like? What will be there? And will it be something amazing to remember as life goes on? Well, all of those questions were answered on my trip to Stamford, Connecticut which makes it so far the furthest I've been to there. It was truly an amazing atmosphere, it would've been a cracker if it was a sunny day but not an issue. I rode the 3:34 run train to Stamford on the New Haven Line my favorite line personally and I saw something that surprised me pretty much. The M8 train that I took was basically a super express train because from Harlem - 125 St station It went straight to Stamford without stopping and it was a joyful FAST ride to the anticipated Big City of Stamford. It is official my first big city station tour on the Metro-North, I was planning to head to White Plains soon enough since it carries similarities to Stamford because that also is a big city as well filled with beautiful scenery. It was certainly and by far the best trip for railfanning, I was overwhelmed with the amount of times I caught various M8's and 3 Amtrak trains arriving at the station! The bummer was not catching the Acela Train that arrived just before I began doing to the station tour recording! In total I'd say I saw about 8-9 trains and yes it is a frenzy as mentioned on the title of the video because it was just nice to see all those trains come and go and not bad for a weekend schedule so I do guess the Metro-North is a high priority service overall and I love it, it's now my 12th time on the train and I prefer it more than the subway who wouldn't ? I was going to include pictures of Stamford but I will include that on my TWITTER PAGE ONLY! So check it out. This is also the longest station tour/ railfanning video it almost reaches 25 min! So that's how you know that Stamford was an amazing sight to see. You guys should definitely check it out and yes I'll go back sometime in the summer to visit again because it left me a great impression. Some of the Amtrak trains were going to Boston or DC and I can imagine how long that can be personally. It was also the longest trip I've had so far where I only didn't explore the tour but what I also did was explore the city of Stamford and check out what's it like there and how different it is being here instead of NYC. I am thrilled to say that the Stamford Tour was the best trip by far even though there's still more to come, next week's station will be back on the Hudson Line to Garrison station, I will let you know what happens by Friday and I will hopefully have a better outcome on the Hudson Line. I hope you guys enjoy the tour and the amazing railfanning I was able to catch and certainly this tour says that quality over quantity was witnessed! Follow my TWITTER PAGE PLEASE!
