Not this model but I gave a new but unused Lowe backpack to a homeless guy - I see him from time to time and his pack has been used 24 x 7 x 365 and is still going strong . I see he uses it as a pillow at night and hangs loads of stuff from it as he goes about in the day . I have been impressed by the durability of the Lowe Alpine product - for the kind of usage I give my kit it should last a life time !

@@trekitt thank you - I also gave another person a Berghaus Arrow over a year ago and I still see he uses it - he used to use Sainsbury’s carrier bags so I imagine he appreciates it. I tend to buy more than I need so good to let people have them! I just bought a Montane trailblazer from your guys - hoping it arrives soon as I want to use it in Man v Coast rat race on July 4th .

Great review I just ought this back and i feel with a little heavy weight in it that the back wire system on the bottom corners digs in my back a little. Not too bad with not much weight but with bottles on wither side full and a variety of things inside it digs in my back. I have sourced the older model with a totally different air spring design, one which doesn't seem to have this its just the Z series not the newer active

Quite like the look of this, I've got a talon22 but I've never been happy with the hip belt. No matter how much I adjust it, always seems to ride to high up. And the hip bet pockets are to far back making them pretty useless.

  • @trekitt

The AirZone range does feature a more substantial hipbelt, but I'd definitely recommend trying it on with some weight before taking it outside and using it in anger. Harry

Nothing is better than the Talon 22! But then I am biased. The Talon line is my favorite. I have the 22, 33 & 44. You really should be comparing this to the Stratos 26 which also has the trampoline suspension system like the Alpine.

I loved the Talon. But the suspended back panel spoiled me. It’s just so nice to hike out here in humid Kauai and not feel like I have a little jacuzzi on my back.

I'd recommend visiting us for a professional pack fitting if possible. They're a little like shoes - it's best to try a few to find the perfect one. If that's not possible, I would give us a ring (01432 263335) or email at support@trekitt.co.uk. They'll be able to run through a few options with you in more detail. Harry

Any ideas of a daypack (hoping for about 20-25L) that has a suspension system and has low enough and/or angled side pockets that allow for access to a water bottle without taking the pack off? I’m not a fan of hydration systems. Haven’t been able to narrow down something along those lines myself. Thanks in advance!

In my experience, it’s just a matter of weather you prefer a suspended back or built in hip belt pockets. In all other ways they are quite similar. Osprey pack seems to have a bit more bells and whistles overall (minus the suspended back panel).
