I'm a professional ballet dancer and the fact that Kim was on demi-pointe nonstop the entire time at The Met Gala (even if it was just for the photo section) is very impressive. My calves would be cramping and I'm used to spending all my days in pointe shoes.

I have two pairs of the early 2010s Giuseppe Zanotti heelless platforms, and those aren't that comfortable with a little cantilever platform so you can put your weight back a little, wearing just a platform stuck on demi pointe would be a nightmare.

I think the concept would have worked so much better if Kim was more physically comfortable because her energy would have flowed better. Instead it felt restrictive and forced which juxtaposed the carefree vision board of a wild night in the gardens, unencumbered and tousled. Such a beautiful idea tho 💫

Shoes had huge wide platforms unlike a ballerinas so while probably not too comfortable but not too impossible either. Getting into that corset is more difficult.

This explains her facial expression that night: she could hardly breathe and was balancing on her toes for hours. So much sacrifice for a look that wasnt thaaat iconic or breathtaking.

The idea is excellent. She looks very pretty, elegant. Cold night grabbing a sweater ( modernized) not a cape which was wore in that time period. Balancing on her toes and going up stairs is not an easy task.

Ive been looking for the entire explanation of this look and so glad i found this video. Once she explains everything it all makes sense and comes together. I know I'll get a lotvof hate for my opinion, but I look forward to seeing what shes going to wear and the story and art behind her look each year at the Met. I just think its fascinating.

I didn’t hate her look at all, I didn’t get it entirely but I did get the vibe of a “vulnerable” beauty, the low, loose long braid and the clutching of the cardigan gave it away. Kim explaining her fantasy and story behind the look truly makes it all sense, and I truly appreciate the look a lot more. She truly does look beautiful!

I think her makeup didn't look vulnerable, it was the same kind of harsh eye look she normally goes for with the nude lip. To me a vulnerable look would quite a bit different than her norm. I think that's why the whole look didn't mesh and give the idea she was going for.

Amazing Margiela aged sweater at the gala dedicated to the ways clothes ages over time but i'm kinda bummed Kim didn't do the signature Margela pose

imo this is the best met gala dress she has worn it has so much meaning to it by Galliano himself! also the dedication to not breath and stand without a heel truout the event 😂

kudos for the efforts its really amazing to see how much she puts her soul into everything she does

The thing about the dress is that it still would have looked beautiful even without making her waist disappear. I really do pray that younger girls seeing this don’t think you have to have a non existent waist to look beautiful

I am so happy this video was made, I was tired of the tabloids and online trashing the look when there is ALWAYS context behind a look.

I don't like the Kardashians in general but I think Kim's look is always on point!! I don't understand why people are always so critical of what she wears. Personally, when it comes to clothing, I find it innovative and very marginal.
