Legs on fire, hearing going, tunnel vision..... Just as you pass the halfway point. Brutal sport.

These British men were so honest. Connected to their emotions in ways rarely seen. Really impressive.

You know you’ve trained hard - when someone has to put you in the “recovery position”...😳😂😂

i only did rowing for about 2 years and all i remember was how the whole room would collapse to the floor and puke after every test piece. It is the toughest sport i ever did i think.

Rowed the ergo for 20 years..... and the twunts in the gym simply can't imagine how hard it is to push a decent 2 or 5k. Good luck fellas... hardest and fittest on the planet. Rowing forever.

I got really emotional there, nice to see such honest lads. Rowing is the tuffest sport their is, but their is a lot more to it. The group bonding, being on the water energizes you and the rowing it self is like meditation.

Yeah after my first 1st place finished I couldn't stop crying. The feeling of months of work paying off, and seeing my coach jumping up and down on the dock. Couldn't even take a full breath but was sobbing like a baby. And I could never imagine missing the opportunity of missing a metal, coming back to your home country that had the hope and belief that you would metal, and returning with nothing. Haunting is a good word to describe it.

Man, I love rowing! Utterly brutal - there is NOWHERE to hide. These guys and girls have my utmost respect, operating at a standard I will only ever be able to admire in astonishment.

The part of rowing I loved? Sitting there screaming at your teammate to pull harder on the erg, and knowing his score will knock you off the boat.

Watching this got quite emotional. Inspirational. Positive that GB public would appreciated more like this, to help us understand what the team and each sport’s competitors put themselves through to go for their prize.
