Inside Fukushima's Ghost Towns: Frozen in Time

Subscribe to / @robloak
In 2011, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Japan triggered a tsunami that caused damage to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, resulting in a radioactive leak.
The nuclear disaster forced people to evacuate their homes, leaving behind empty towns devoid of inhabitants. These desolate towns are referred to as "Ghost Towns" by the Japanese.
More than 10 years later, Japan has lifted evacuation orders in some towns, and some residents have chosen to return.

The way he was describing Fukushima in the beginning of the video was very eerie. The little kid with the tomatoes was so cute, excellent narration as always. 👌

Do a video on another tsunami-devastated town called Oarai. It has made a comeback thanks in no small part to Garupan.

I don't know if anyone else knows this but this channel is actually the English version of a Thai news channel which has nearly 1 million subscribers, I can't wait until the day this channel reaches 1 million subscribers milestone.

I love and hate this channel. It's eerie but fun. I can't stop clicking on the algorithm and I can't bring myself to "don't recommend channel." Ugh, well done, Robloak.

The saddest part is scientists have determined there wasn't enough radiation released to justify any exclusion zones in Fukushima.

Showing a petrochem facility burning while describing the events at the nuclear power plant 0:53 is very misleading. While the nuclear units at Fukushima did experience explosions due to hydrogen buildup a few days later, they were not burning in the open like the video suggests.

Why did you subscribe in the first place? The voice has sounded the same every video I've watched. Are you some kinda moron or something? Genuine question.
