I would like to see what's inside for once. Ceramic bearings, titanium everything. That's where the technology is. AMA needs make 2T vs 4T cc equivalent. Give manufacturers more incentive to push smoker technology.

Keyword "it might not always be true" they have so much money wrapped up in these bikes it's insane. The ignition is totally different in these bikes. They actually crush the frames of old bikes so they can't be copied. They will move foot pegs and motor mounts millimeters just so it fits the rider better.

They get covered when it's wet, but it was dry that race...so their is no need for it. Plus they work fine. No need to change or upgrade them.

I believe those are water tight. There are rubber seals where the wires enter the plug ends, and there is a rubber gasket that seals the connection when you plug the two halves together.

I'm sure they work fine, but like they could have gone for proper light weight aluminium screw-connectors with load-release lock-rings for the wires. It's not like its any money in the context of their overall spendings.

too bad the competitive look of brute factory championship scooters has went to them all looking frail, plain, plastic, cheap junk. bikes look so lame anymore. especially the tankless look with carbon fibre. oh and the price tag for a 6 month life expectancy to end, it's all about a big showy, marketing ploy. nobody can show up wearing a head shop's iconic store front emblem sticker on his number plate or helmet, if he's national no 1 or not. cheezy looks when contingency donors adorn the empty spaces that all support the simple sport. character, has went away to let in boringness.

@@moto3moto419 im talking before ktm was big on show cases. back in the day just after triumps and bsa's , nortons were the champion bikes. and after hodakas or the harley bajas days of washed over street bike looks. the 70s when manufactures were producing especially in european models, were all unique to themselves, the asian bikes not so much, the monoshock was kinds of cheesy even though it'd go fast like in bob hannah (my neighbor) who could ride them well. even at that time they'd produce an IT 175, 250 and 400 that even though with personal experience making a clean sweep championship in class 21 score off road series on an IT 250f (which at best looked like it would be something strapped to the front bumper on a winnebago heading to the next good sams club campground,) against full factory teams of husqvarna, honda, ktm which were competitive looking as ever. today they're all so similar only differing by some color.
