Yea that is tough. Get vacation insurance to take the worry out.

With most excursions it's always best to purchase ahead of time. Especially with Grupo Xcaret parks and tours, you get better deals.

Do they have rooms that has direct access to the beach or pools I’m asking for a 75 year old person What’s your recommendation for this resort or another

I don't believe they do. Everything goes to the inside of the resort and then you take elevators to the pool or beach. I did videos on the Hyatt Ziva which is right next door to the Grand Fiesta and they have rooms that have pools right outside their patio doors. They don't have direct beach access but they do have the pool rooms. We were right above them.

Thanks for posting this! Any surprise charges or cool findings regarding all-inclusive activity? Other recommendations regarding dinner/activities and booking ahead?

Chuck I dont know if you saw but I did an activities video and a good review for this resort as well. I also did an excursion video to Isla Mujeres. I say all that to let you know all about the resort. Only major secrets bonuses were the free ferry tickets per room. Not sure if they are still doing that. No surprise charges. Grocery store down the street is amazing as well.

I would just ask but I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem due to their incredible hospitality

Was this filmed in January? That's a lot of seaweed for that time of year.

It was over July 4th week actually. It cleared up half way through our trip.

Do you recommend grand fiesta Vs moon palace grand?

They have activities for kids? And they offer coconut juice and lobster free?

There are activities for kids throughout the day and at night. I don't remember seeing lobster and I'm not sure about coconut juice

Hmm, that is interesting I didn't see a lot of run down places while I was there. I definitely agree that it isn't modern or of newer styles but I I didn't feel the rooms or inside the resort felt run down. It has been a few years since I was there so maybe that is why.

I just came back from here. Hotel is clean as mentioned by detailedtraveler. Did not feel that it was outdated at all. Only area I felt needed a renovation was bathtub and wall tiles caulking. But double showerhead worked well (great water pressure, hot/cold) and drained well. Love that this hotel has FULL size shampoo/conditioner/shower gel pumps (and not the small sample sized ones).
