Inside Ca Dario. The most famous Palazzo in Venice because no one can get inside, but I did!

Dear Sir Steven Moore, Not many years ago , maybe a dozen , the cà was sold and in some fashion used by the Peggy Guggenheim Museum . Currently, it is again up for sale but at a price two fold or more higher . Yes, it is in a shockingly ruinous state . Imagine prospective buyers disappoint when shown the present state. Venessia , oh Venessia!!! Thanks so very much . Thomas
Thanks Steven for showing us this amazing building. Great video 😊
Magnificent. Interesting to also see the roof of the Peggy Guggenheim museum which looks rather splendid, too.
Great video someone finally got in and filmed it what a treat
Cole Porter lived at Ca Rezzonico. Wondering if he ever wandered over to the neighbors to give a little impromptu concert on that piano...
I’d live there in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, it was a thrill🇦🇺🐨🦘
So it's just 2 doors down from the Guggenheim?? Uff - this video does make me want to visit Venice again.

Wow. Its beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.🌿♥️♥️❤🌿
Incredible! Thank you for sharing that.
Thank you for making this video. We will definitiely look out for it on our next rip to Venice.
Amazing! I would have liked a more detailed, slower, room by room video, but if I could hit the like button a hundred times I would. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful Palazzo.

It is a palazzo, it was for sale for 18 million Euros at the time this video was made; it is vacant, no one lives there.
Please google this palazzo which is understood to be cursed due and history of the unfortunate residents who lived there; bankruptcy, suicide and murder are why it is called cursed. No one who resided in Ca Dario seemed to escape tradgedy. The Palazzo was purchased by an American company, according to the information I read and apparently for sale. The residents even in 1970 had great misfortune while living in the Palazzo. I can't imagine why Simon didn't tell the Palazzo's fascinating and extraordinarily history. I hope this helps. ❤❤❤❤❤xx

Look at the fortunes of any grand house - building, or family - over the course of 500 years and you will find that excesses of business practice, political and financial intrigue, and lifestyle and addictions will leave a mark - usually not pretty. The stories associated with this have some factual basis - people associated with the property died AS ALL DO, and a fair share were what would now be considered “tabloid fodder”. But the reputation is as much a fiction as the “curse” of Tutankhamen or the Hope diamond.

That’s just bs
Been there a number of times. Is CA L'oro being renovated ? Is it for sale ? If so, what is the asking price ? How much 😍 It's beautiful. 😍😍
So my immediate question is why is this beautiful house derelict? Couldn't it be opened to the public + be maintained? Surely better than sitting empty. I'd love to have the garden, the amazing things you could do with that space.
You can smell the musty everything. 🫗
An absolute dream , if only ….
A very interesting house, but watching this I get the feeling that everything is damp. Of course the footings of all houses in Venice are sitting in the mud, but the atmosphere there must also be very water laden. Not appealing to me at all, and I could not live there. But luckily everybody does not feel the same as me, so somebody will take up this challenge I'm sure!

Exactly, Venice is built on swamp, one of the most unhealthy places in Italy. During the summer months you couldn’t air rate the place due to the abominable stench coming up from the “ grand “ canal. Not everything that glitters is gold. Venice’s architecture is ok in places, but most of it is a dump. Always has been.
Would have loved a longer video. 💜
i would gladly move in and look after the place if you need it :)
A water gate for receiving your lovers. Now I know what I've been doing wrong all this time.
brava Venezia!
How about a video of Palazzo Zenobio ? My mothers family surname is Zenobio, they live in Abbruzzo.🤔🤔🤔🤔
Why on earth is this not lived in, a great shame.

Why not rather a national museum, instead of just billionaires being able to see all the magical things?
W👁️W. Perhaps in another lifetime! 💔
very much reminds me of a NYC townhouse. 211 e 62nd would be similar. instead of a street you have a canal.
Magnificent…….hate to see it as a ruin though…..

It’s not really a ‘ruin’, yes it’s neglected, but no one has lived in it since 1993 and a home needs to be looked at. The structure is sound and the roof has been sorted out. It just needs a good clean
You are very brave Steven. I would not enter it ^^

@@annanardo2358 I'll tell you why. But first some questions. Are you aware of this buildings history? Are you aware that some people have had bad fortune after visiting the property? Are you aware that some people have been physically scratched and had received bruises on their body after visiting the property? Are you aware that spirits have been known to attach themselves to people, and can follow them home, and cause mischief and bring a negative energy to their homes? I suggest that you do some research, and do some reading on the property before writing such naïve comments. I am clairsentient, and I would not visit it I tell you this, I also know this property, and the negative stories which have not been made public. My friend is a registered tour guide in the city, and she has told me about the buildings history in detail. Stories that only the locals know, and have experienced. So if you choose to ignore what I have said, and anything happens, then good luck to you! I will not say I told you so. 😌

@@annanardo2358 Oi Oi Nardo. The lady is right, you should exercise caution before thinking about visiting that place. Do some extensive reading on the palazzo, and speak to people who know about it's dark history, and who have had personal experiences. You may save yourself a whole lot of grief.

@@topandeneil Uri Geller visited it as part of his Haunted cities documentaries, I believe the episode filmed in the palazzo is on KZread. Its supposed to be built on a Knights Templar graveyard. Yes, it is the C21st but I watched an episode of Amy's Crypt filmed at Houska castle in the Czech Republic, and she received bruises on her arms, and her cameraman cuts. So these things can happen.Whether you choose to believe the stories or not.The place does have an unfortunate history and reputation. I don't think i will be visiting anytime soon. I do not think you can now anyway as it is off the market. It's not an open house museum, its a residence, so I do not think the owners would take too kindly to random people casually walking around the place. 😊
Ca’ Dario was listed for sale until recently. Do you, by chance, know if it sold or was taken off the market?

It is, as far as I’m aware sold.
It looks like the humidity would be a constant source of mold and rodents? Otherwise spectacular residence!
Looks like everything’s been auctioned off.
Bring it over to Toronto, Canada a law enforcement country
it needs restauration/restoring/renovation fast !

@@annanardo2358the last record I can detect is €18,000,000 sale; however, it would take nearly that much to stabilize and restore it. So an interested party needs to be thinking in €40,000,000 total investment with fees, taxes, and refurbishment. And then the yearly cost, thereafter, €3,000,000.
The stuff of dreams... *sigh*
Again, why vacant? Structurall questions?
