The "estate" itself isn't really all that large. Just 5 acres - so that makes this $34 mil asking price that much more of a joke!! Last I heard it had gone through 2 or 3 price reductions and was down to a still too ridiculously high $24 million. Even as crazy expensive as Asheville area real estate prices have gotten, this is just stupidly expensive. Gorgeous home, sure, but still insanely expensive.

@@MarkusRigsbyun checked growth, main water issues city wide. poor road development/ 80% tourist economy. homeless problems/crime. asheville was nice 10 years ago, now its trashville

NC's most expensive house is also in NC's area of the highest priced homes anywhere in the state. It actually makes perfect sense. If it was in Franklin, Yadkinville, Tillery or Bolivia at this price -- *THAT* would make no sense.

Feel sorry for any sucker that buys this place…

@@sanelelembethe Beautiful, sure, but at $34 million it's insanely, painfully, ridiculously, stupidly expensive. It's like 12,000 sq ft on 5 acres. Even by Asheville's laughably high real estate prices this one is top of the heap ridiculous. And seeing as it's gone through several price cuts to a still asinine $24 million it was obviously overpriced to begin with.

Okay maybe it's just me, but does anyone feel like this house doesn't have much personality?? Like, it's lacking warmth and character? The yard and pool are beautiful, but sheesh, that seems like it would be really hard to maintain!!

Beautiful home but IMO it's not worth 34 Million. It only has five acres of land.

Maintenance costs? We have trouble finding a good house cleaner here. What the heck are they going to do when those shades are stuck halfway down? Who knows how to maintain that fish tank? I’d give money that says that is why they are selling!
