Darren I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your vids. I’ve watched most of them and kinda knew how to do most of the stuff, but your personality and no nonsense approach to explaining the process is a breath of fresh air. Don’t care about others saying TMI, I can determine what to do so much more efficiently if I understand the underlying process. Sorry for long winded kudos, but I greatly appreciate what you do. I also know the added effort making the vids can surely be a pain in the arse. Thanks for taking the time.

Try the Thomas & Betts 2000. Wire and tie wrap cutters in the nose, strippers in the jaws, cuts off screws, and crimps. I have wired thousands of industrial control panels and repaired countless things and I have preferred these 100%. A little expensive but I have worn these out several times over.

Yet another of your videos that I couldn't stop watching Darren. I guess I'm considered a tool nut also. I thought at my age I had pretty much everything I needed. Now I can't wait to see my wife's face when another $105 worth of tools shows up from Amazon! Great videos, keep it up.

I can’t believe I watched this entire one hour video, i’m not an RV technician I’m an RV owner that does all my own repair and this video it was very helpful, I have a lot of the same tools but you really showed me some interesting things I need to add to my bag. Does that fluke 325 do inrush amps? I wish I had that cap when I fixed my toilet.

Just wanted to say how awesome Darren is. He helped us out last summer replacing the front legs in our 5th wheel. It was fun learning how he got into the career and is enjoying life as a full time RVer.

Excellent, extremely practical, thank you. Note: that white PVC tape and a Sharpie can make great labels for all kinds of applications. PVC tape holds up better over time than many other types of tape.

I love Wera screwdrivers and Kinipex pliers! I have a set of the Wera chiseldrivers that have a 1/4 square socket hole on top so you can add a rachet for extra torque. I also love the idea of using 12v tool batteries for a temp power source. I have 20v DeWalt tools, but my heated hoodie runs off Milwaukee 12v fuel.

Oh BTW, I have a Veto Pro Pack bag. Had it for over 10 years and I do beat it! Very rugged and has the PVC base that you talked about to weather any water or dampness. A bit pricey but definitely been worth it. They have lots of different configurations to choose from.

I Enjoy your videos, one more special tool for your bag, cut an old 3 prong ext. cord leave about 3" on the male side cut the hot and neutral solder an alligator on the ground and you will always have a panel ground for your meter at any receptacle. If you need more length you can plug it into an ext cord to get where your working.

Great video Darrin. My tool bags are like yours. Looks like a mess but I always know where they are. Some good ideas on tools to bring on the road. You could use the ‘plastic dip’ made to coat tool handles and ‘paint’ the bottom of your tool bag to make the bottom solid plastic.

My wife and I live in an RV full-time and my question to you is what is the torque value of the screws inside my electrical box on the 12 V side as well as the AC side? I know I need a torque driver for it but I want to get the right one.

Hey man I’m going to be attending rv training in a couple weeks and the school recommends the Klein 8100CL or the Ames. I’ve always heard and planned on getting a fluke being they’re the best. What do you think on the Klein vs the fluke.

That's like getting into the Ford versus Chevy versus Dodge versus Toyota debate. I don't know that I want to touch that one lol. I've been in the electrical trade for my entire adult life. I've just always used Fluke meters so I know their products and mine have taken spills off of ladders, workef in the rain, freezing cold and always deliver a quick response when I'm testing a circuit. My attitude is I want my tools to work as hard as I do regardless of the condition and Fluke has always delivered. But you're going to pay a premium for your Fluke meters.
