April 8th, 2023: Cuervo, New Mexico is considered the spookiest ghost town in New Mexico. After I spontaneously visited the town on my way back to Arizona, I learned of potential criminal activity in Cuervo, and the nearby areas. This alleged criminal activity is disturbing and relatively modern, but I have my doubts on whether it is legit or not.

Either way, there is plenty of general spookiness in Cuervo today, being a crumbling shell of its former self. Some people tell stories of weird encounters in Cuervo. However, it seems as though maybe things are on the up and up for the town. The old schoolhouse recently got a new roof (although it remains non-operational). A few people still live in Cuervo today.

There is a low chance I would return to Cuervo, but if I did, I would bring some substantial personal protection.
