While learning the robotic arm to perform a specific movement, there is an internal program that specifies a special rotational motion function for each of the six axes so that all the axes subsequently rotate simultaneously to achieve the required arm movement.

They need to find whoever did the camera keyframing ... and fire them

this video is a great example of a company producing a video and letting some noob do the work, who partially knows how to operate blender, but doesn't know anything about video production.

You forgot about drives for 4-6 joints, or when they are at the back of 4'th - shafts controlling other ones ;)

The graphics are technically like the real McCoy, but the animation could be slowed down a bit for one to get a good view of its innards - the gears, lines, cables, ball bearings (if any used), junk like that. Just a suggestion. As it is, it's a flyby showing and thus hard to behold what's goes on inside.

There's belts as well-- belts and gears is where all the magic is. They might as well have shown us some Egyptian hieroglyphs.

Is it possible to get CAD drawings and techincal information about the important parts of one of your robots? I would like to build one for private usage. Buying them is of course too expensive for private usage :)

Instead of animating with transparent and exploded views, you could have shown some internal motion, transmission views. That could have been more informative. Please improve it to make more interesting in a minute more or so.

If the stepper motors are integrated in the chassis like showed in the video, kuka robots must pull an insane amount of power to do anything!

  • @nosknut

Datarecords im not talking about stiff joints. Accuracy and repeatabillity with small tolerances requires the motors to do precise movement. They also need to be very strong to hold their position when used like this correct?
