One thing I can never understand is why with the exception of the master bedroom, every other bedroom is always so small and poorly laid out. These other rooms are clearly for guests, children or offices, but honestly, in regards to them being for kids, do the builders actually think the kids will never need more space? It's so frustrating. Why isn't every room large enough to accommodate adults? And builders LOVE to design spaces with little to no options for furniture placement.

That's a great question. Limited space is definitely one reason. Another reason is that builders want to provide enough bedrooms but also keep them as big as possible. Which is a huge challenge.

In the Netherlands, all rooms are small. Just enough for a family. Also we have 1 bathroom in 1 house. Its annoying that 1 big family has to share 1 bathroom. I like the USA/CA houses better. Amount of bedrooms are equal to the amount of bathrooms.
