Love you Mom! you're absolutely the best mother I could ever ask for. Thanks so much for trying your hardest to have me after 9/11.
This woman is the epitome of resilience. Her strength is unbelievable.

@@porcelaindolli3 Wow you just said you work in the medical field and clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Google is your friend. Reconstructive P.S is for function and quality of life, cosmetic P.S is for appearance and vanity. There is a difference. Reconstructive P.S you can bill to your insurance because it is necessary to live... Cosmetic you cannot bill to any insurance. One is elective, the other is not. One is for function/quality of life, the other is for appearance. I just think that you should not call it cosmetic because you make it sound like she went and got a nose job... NO... She had 80% burns all over her body! She had reconstructive P.S. She was healed by a plastic surgeon who specialized in burns! That is an entire specialty that has nothing to do with cosmetic procedures and you make it sound that way. I just feel like it is disrespectful but you do you.

@@porcelaindolli3 And also I would like to say that you are wrong. Yes, of course she had to have surgeries so she could literally live and function but also SHE DID RECOVER VERY WELL. All those skin grafts that they made did not have to take. Lots could have gone wrong... She survived and thrived and that is way bigger than any surgeries. Your entire comment is so dismissive of her and sounds like you are taking away from how incredible it was that she was even able to survive let alone look mostly normal. You act like she went into the clinic and got botox injections.. Like NO HER FACE WAS BURNT OFF.
22 years later, and this still gives me chills. I cry for all the ones that lost their lives, men, women, children, first responders. Its horrible, but she is remarkable

Wow amazing woman. Incredibly lucky to survive, even though the trauma she endured is horrific. Her whole office died (658 employees) on floors 101-105 in tower one.

This amazing woman survived by her sheer will to live. Most people don’t know how powerful the mind-body connection is in these circumstances. She never gave up, not in the horrific and immediate aftermath nor in the months and years of treatments, surgery and rehab that followed. It takes more than just strength to endure all she had to overcome and simply survive but to return to living a normal life and having another child is nothing short of amazing. She indeed is one mentally and physically tough person with an indomitable spirit.
She looks amazing. I'm happy for her!
She looks amazing, wow, I cried when she said she prayed God to let her live for her little son 😢. It is impossible not to think of the many parents, sons, daughters, cousins… in those towers and in the planes, who probably had the same thoughts as she did 😢, not wanting to die, to come back to their family members. May they be resting in heavenly peace and looking down on their loved ones. Rest in peace heroes ♥️.

Absolutely heartbreaking
The love for her baby kept her alive
Wow, modern medicine is truly a marvel. 80% of her body severely burned and she looks healthy, happy and possibly even able to get pregnant again (although don’t want to assume if they adopted, used surrogacy, etc). Major credit to not only all the work she put in to recover but all the doctors and her care and recovery team.

Yeah the pregnancy got me thinking. I'm just courious. But I can believe that this would work. The skin needs to strech so much and scars, burned skin doesn't really do that. I'm wondering about the full Story.

Her surgeons did GREAT work, I'm amazed. Modern medicine is good, but scar tissue and the type of severe burns she had is very difficult to fix, very few people with her types of burn look this good. It's her surgeons yes, but also her genetics and her bodies own ability to heal and adjust from the sugeries. Scar tissue is very difficult to operate on, it's not normal skin at all.
