Inshore Grouper on an Ice Rod
Спорт
No offshore fishing today. We caught these fish inside Tampa Bay! My friend Todd does it all the time. And he shares a lot of information on his KZread page so you can do it too. You can check him out by using this link...

“A bad day fishing is better than a good at work.” One of the ultimate truths.
Ice rods as I remember were only about 2ft long at best. Went ice fishing in the upper peninsula of Michigan many years ago. Had to chop through 2 ft of ice . Caught a ton of fat yellow perch . Fried em up and washed em down with a cold root beer. Yum! April 15, 1977

Kinda funny how something like that will stick in the memory forever. I was doing temporary duty at Plattsburg Air Force Base when a friend took me out ice fishing back in 1974. I'll never forget the fun, and the taste of those perch. LOL

I love the twist on the conventional way of fishing with your channel. Awesome as always. I've been watching the Tampa Bay Channel for a while. They are really delivering straight forward entertainment, great channel for sure.

Frigid temps are sliding into New England as I type. Thanks for the warm thoughts👍
Grouper. Yummy!
Every fisherman has a skunk day. If you didn’t ever have a skunk day you’re either a good bullshitter or a liar

Todd is a good friend to have! What exactly do you mean by "ice rod?" If you search the term, you come up with gear for ice fishing. Or is that actually what you mean?

@TexasCat 606 I wish I was in Texas. I'm about an hour north of Toronto. Let's just say if I jump on a regional jet, fly.for 2 hrs, I'm in Polar bear territory. Lol.
Do u ever go back home? New York. For some reason I think u said u was raised there a long time ago. Damn it's been quite a long time now hasn't it. I call it little red boat. I kinda miss your tackle box. I think I have try to make one now for years and still don't have one
I seen you today Mardi
No ship jumping necessary.
U look like youtuber Ken Tamplin
It’s not the size of the rod but how you use it.....lol
Fun times Marty can you kayak to any spots from your launch for grouper? thank you

From Marty's place to the shipping channel would be a long but doable paddle. If you Google map Tampa, Marty is on the Little Manatee River. The shipping channel would about 5 miles out give or take. Current and crazy boaters is what would deter me from doing that. I have a buddy who paddles across the bay to St Pete, but he has an ocean yak. Mine is just an inshore tub!

@@d.faulkner8210 that makes sense, I was curious because there will likely never be ice on the ocean in Florida. Was wondering if he might have used it in NY.
I want to like but if i like it it will be 778 and i have ocd so i want 777
You guys are too much
