INSANE Tree Climber in Varkala, India 🇮🇳
In this video I decided to walk along the coastline near Odayam first and then towards Varkala North Cliff. Just to give you an impression of how the places look.
While walking along the beach I saw a man climbing the trees to get the coconuts out. I was intrigued and decided to stick around for a bit. Eventually I bought a coconut of him and it was delicious.
Furthermore I walked towards Varkala North Cliff and had one of the best Frapuccinos ever!

With my KZread videos I aim to show a different perspective than what most travel vloggers would do by interacting with people and really getting the local insights of the places I visit. No matter their social background I treat everyone equal. Sometimes this results in awkard conversations but I love it!

coconut climber said his wage for climbing a tree (60) not the coconut prize
Rs. 60/- The coconut tree climber said is his pay per tree. You just multiply 60 x no of trees he climbed. That is his pay. (say 60 x 10 trees = 600 INR.)
I love your videos....its nice.....lots of love from kerala❤
That's the right way to enjoy a coconut Tim . Hope you're enjoying, ❤

For drinking, tender coconut should be heavy without splashing. As coconut gets mature, it becomes lighter and starts splashing with water reducing as it matures further
Tim, this is a kind of profession in all coastal states of india. These people are physically very tough, they usually climb 10 to 20 trees everyday. When i was a child, they used to take 2 coconuts for every tree they climb . I dont know what is their wages now . Now a days because of India's growing economy and risks associated woth the job, no people choose this profession. Unlike west, they just use some handmade gears to climb. I have never heard of any such accidents, but probability of accidents cant be ruled out. Old coconut trees used to be very tall, but now a days you can pluck coconuts by hand, thanks to science.
❤capturing skills of a coconut tree climber..!"g8 👏👏
Good video, the coconut Toddy is called Kallu in the local language
Tree climbers in Goa are called renders and the traditionally they wear a garment locally called kashti, known as loin-cloth in English. Best wishes from South Goa
