Yes it will. I’m sure there could be a few exceptions to the rule but if it’s an isolated hunt it should work every time.

Hi panfro, i heard u said all the miniors on chargestone cave are yellow core but i got 3 sdifferent color on the cave, or the yellow core only spawn exactly where u did the picnic?

It seems to depend where you are located in charge stone cave. The border between the two zones has both yellow and blue

I had read somewhere that shiny Pokémon could no longer self destruct so I went ahead and decided to hunt down minior. I eventually found a shiny and entered the fight fearlessly. You all know what happened next …

That probably referred to overworld shinies like voltorb, which won't explode when you get too close. They fail to mention that they still can self destruct in battle.. 🥲

6:10 Just a small but important thing, you don't necessarily need to be able to spawn 15 of the same pokemon, which is hard to do if you're hunting without encounter power 3, since encounter 1&2 are weaker and can bring in some other spawns of different types that are in the area. Basically, it doesn't matter what's on your screen. If you're hunting a hard to see shiny like Minior without level 3 and you're in this same cave, and you count 16 pokemon on your screen and the shiny isn't visibly any other mon that spawn there besides Minior, like Magnemite or Minun, then you know it's Minior, since you'd be able to see the if it's the others. Same with everything else ofc. Likewise, if you count 17, it means you hit the jackpot and there are two shinies!

What if there is a pokemon that always spawns there that is different. One of the permanent spawns. Do u count it or only count the 16 of the pokemon u are hunting? (With the permanent spawn being the 17th if u get a shiny)

@@eloylopez8929 I'm not too sure how it works with the fixed/tera spawns and whether they get their own spawn slot, I just usually KO them first if there are any, but this would be very easy to test! Next time you're near one, try to see how many total spawns are on your screen including that fixed/tera spawn. If it's 16 then obviously it would mean they get their own slot! I haven't ever tested this bc I always clear out the area of any unwanted spawns first in case they were reducing the amount of spawns of the one I'm hunting. I'd definitely recommend doing that regardless of whether you find that they count as separate spawns, it's just cleaner and less confusing, so I'd still do it! It's a win-win! :)

summary -charge stone cave is the best spot -make sure you have a pokemon with the ability Damp to prevent the minior from using self destruct (golduck, polywrath, or johto quagsire are the easiest ways to get it) -make a sandwich with 1 prosciutto, 1 salty herba mystica, and one 1 sweet, spicy, or sour herba mystica to get encounter power and sparkling power Flying level 3 (minior should be the only flying type in the cave) -count the minior in the area, if there are only 15, there's no shiny, if there are 16, one of them is a shiny (the game counts shinies as a special spawn outside of the spawn limit) -use auto battle/let's go to attack all the minior, if your pokemon refuses to attack, that's the shiny

This changes the game!! I have a free day to just go through all your shiny videos!

Thanks man! This was awesome. Got my minior green from outbreak in the cave in about 35 minutes. The 16 counting method is clutch! I swear I was about to go insane, lost a sandwich cause I misscounted lol

Just got my first two shiny Minior quite frankly by watching your simple, but effective tutorial. Not sure if I will go for all seven but I got one for Scarlet (Red Core) & one for Violet (Yellow Core). Keep up the marvelous work PanFro!

It's sad, but yeah this method doesn't work at all for Indigo and Violet.

Got my shiny minior within 10 mins of using shiny flying sandwich, just resetting until I counted 16 of them spawned. Thank you!!

This actually worked! It did take about 35-40 minutes of doing picnic resets and had to redo the sandwich once but I managed to get my shiny Minior! He's one of 10 shinies I like so finally knocking it off my list was exciting.

this method is GOATED. I found a shiny Minior yellow in Chargestone Cave at the last minute of my sandwich. thank you!

I did it I got a shiny using this method I am so happy. The core color was actually indigo on my shiny.

If you're lucky to reset for an outbreak in the same spot for duraludon/beldum in polar biome; thats a nice spot for Minior too (I got my shiny from there)

you can also get indigo in polar biome next to classroom 2

Did anyone else find this hunt to be way more fun than they thought it should have been? 😂

A clutch I use for these is a Damp Kingdra, whose I Tera-type I changed to Ghost. With this set-up, it can't go boom and it can't use Double Edge, so it can't recoil itself to death. The Kingdra knows Twister (which does about 25% with its meteor intact) and Yawn which only works whem the meteor is broken. Another option would be Tera Ghost Poliwrath with WideLens+Hypnosis.

Yes. Certain colors have boosted spawn rates in areas, but all colors can spawn anywhere.

Hey so the green core spot doesn't work, have anything else in mind?

I managed to shiny hunt a shiny Minior in the Coastal Biome with a rock sandwich and got it on the first hunt. I didn't have a pokemon with Damp at the time so I just used a spare Master Ball as a safety. I only had 1 spare and I wasn't gonna use it on anything else so, why not.

Just got mine, i can confirm it works

@@PanFro "I was told there would be no math" comes to mond 🤣 I got a random Minior doing your Beldum exploit the other night, with this method I might actually go for the colors of the Minior 🌈 ... Eventually.

My question is once we get the 15 Pokémon to spawn then can we just wait for the shiny to appear? If we wait will the shiny Pokémon eventually spawn like with ghost hunts during the day? On the one hand the game isn’t trying to spawn more Pokémon since all of them are already there, on the other hand if a shiny has it’s own special slot then would the game keep checking anyway? Thinking about it, my theory is that it’s probably something where the game sees that the Pokémon is shiny it spawns it in as something different. This is so that it can’t disappear or be auto battled and, having been separated from the other spawns, doesn’t affect the spawning of regular Pokémon.

Does This Work On Zorua/Zoroark/Ditto? Idk If Theres A Spot Where You Can Get All 16

Thought I should mention this- If you send out your pokemon with the let's go feature look out for 2 things. If you send out our Pokemon and they dash straight for the target- it's NOT shiny. If you send out your Pokemon & the first thing they do is shake their head/refuse fight it IS a shiny. You can notice this in the video & this also works for all Pokemon.

If they immediately shake their head, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s shiny. I’ve had many occurrences where my Pokémon will refuse to battle if the opponent’s on a slant, like a hill or cliff, or is in the water and my Pokémon can’t swim or fly. They also won’t battle stronger opponents if they’re low on HP, but that’s obvious to notice.

Probably farmed raids that reward herba mystica. I'm currently farming the 7star charizard for herba mystica. After you defeated it just save and open your map. While the map is open you just go to the switch home screen and go to you're date and time settings of the switch. After you clicked on date and time you just go all the way to the right without changing anything and just hit a on the oké button. When you go back to the game you will see the raids and mass outbreak events reset on the map that you left open. Now you can just search after the new location of the charizard raid and do it again. You can do this infinitely as long as you don't connect to the internet of course.

My question as well. If the shiny is an independent spawn from the non shinies, then you'd think that's the case.

I just tried this I think I took too long with the counting because more started to spawn in and when I auto battle them none of them where shiny

No drip feed spawn like in those caves that spawn from the wall?

I shiny hunted Minior by using the same spot where you isolated Beldum and Duraludon, but stood in the middle next to the rock. That way the Minior only spawned on one side of the spot, making it easy for lets go Pokemons to take them out without risking Miniors despawning.

Holy shit is this real life? I have multiple times in the past year of playing seen 16 spawns at certain times, and just thought I miscounted or it was a weird glitch. Is there any data mine data to back this up as far as the shiny counting as a separate spawn?

I think that the 16 Pokemon equals a shiny thing was patched, can anybody confirm this because I have a spawn where I have 16 Pokémon but none of them are shiny

I tried this method after not finding anything in multiple outbreaks and just on my second picnic reset I counted to 17… Couldn’t believe it, I found two shinies right next to each other. Both are yellow forms…

It will! It sounds like a streak of bad RNG on your part but I tried this method last night and it did hit 16 when my shiny finally spawned~

It should work. The big question is does the hunt need to be isolated which is what I’m assuming. However if the 16th spawn is always a shiny no matter what is spawning then it should work for any Pokémon.

What i did was i killesd 60. Went to the cafeteria, saved the game. I bought the shiny meal, went back to the outbreak, killed every minior. If i didnt get a shiny, i'll reset the game and then do it again. I got mine on my 3rd reset

is this patched? i saw 16 minior but no shiny

So I guess this guide isn't accurate for locations. I went to the area for red cores. Found a shiny and found a blue core.

Doesn't seam to be much of an exploit to me.

The only issue is that you can't get 15 spawns all the time AND you are running down the clock just waiting for 15 spawns. There are also mons like doduo and rhyhorn and cyclizar that keep running at all times. For the violet form at least, I found that just going out and KOing some of the outdoor minior near the cave and then going back to the cave makes them spawn in greater quantity.

Well that’s why you go spots that give you 15 spawns which is the vast majority of the SV Shiny hunting content on my channel lol. Running down the clock isn’t that much of an issue especially for minior where you waste more time auto battling them all and resetting. Luckily Pokémon with easy shinies to see don’t require this method

Crazy exploit, I wonder if this was in the game from day 1 lol how much time we’ve wasted XD

It’s a nice fact to know, but I don’t think it actually makes shiny hunting easier/faster. Maybe for something like Milior, sure, but for simplicity sake, this is still just picnic resetting

A shame I've already hunted everything I need for my Shiny HOME Living Dex in this game...
