I feel like Story has unlocked so many core memories while being in the Philippines. These are the kind of experiences she will miss and remember when she grows up. Im glad you were able to document it for her to see it when she grows up,

I am Filipino living here in New York for 25 years. I go home every two years but lately it’s kind of hard to go home but watching your blog really gives me a feeling of proud being Filipino. I know my country is beautiful but the way your family showcasing is amazing. Not only the amazing resort you visited but also the simple life and community you showed in your blog. Thank you so much. I think I should do the same, travel the whole country before exploring the rest of the world.

I really admire you guys as a foreign tourist and vloggers chose to remain or stay in the philippines and explore the country even if there is pandemic for two years already and you experienced the super typhoon Odette but you guys still prefer and chose to stay in the country that is why I really salute you guys and thank you very much for that I see now and feel that you are a resilient also just like we Filipinos in times of storms or calamities and disasters that the Filipinos experience every year.. @@briandicks3805 True but there are 200 plus countries in the world that they can choose from and with all the discomforts that the Philippines has they opted to stay in the Philippines and promote it, that as Filipinos we admire very much because as Filipinos we can not afford what they are doing. As the saying goes you are not admired in your own place. It is actually a win win situation for Filipinos and the Eight miles from Home. You can keep your envy to yourself and find something nice to make a living too.

Brian, lets preted and i think its true, that they are making blogs and vlogs to earn money for living.. So what is bad there? And 8 miles also promoting and helping their local area. And Philippines have something, what West world already has forgoten.. And its is to be and stay human. I can bet on bottle of tanduay, that one of the reason why 8 miles is there, is this, what I metioned.

For sure you're new or did not watch their previous vlogs. Aside from them loving Philippines, they stayed coz the quarantine in UK are pricey. J said something like it's not worth it to spend that much money.

You both are giving Story lessons and experiences that could never be learned from a text book.. Kudos 💚

The bonfire with Sasha and Story is a keepsake. It's really nice to watch this when you're down memory lane. I'm glad you found a gem of a place!

It's good to take care of your driver. He's a lifeline if you need him.

You both are down to earth, we can take a leaf from your book, and Story is a well-behaved child and so cute.

I think that as retirees, we would love to live where families are still the first, not government. You may someday have to leave, but if offered a way to citizenship, I'd take it....

I love the feel a d design of the house where you see the view outside at every angle and air breeze coming nice windows high ceiling ,wide space , huge, awesome view of the surroundings...

Since you're there in Dapitan city, try going to the famous Dakak beach resort. or the Jose Rizal historical site.

Wow, it's really a huge villa...the house has so much open space inside, really love it's airy, no wall divides. Must be expensive for it's A&B rate. And the luscious garden with the sea view added more attractive value to the villa. Dapitan is where our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was exiled before he was executed in Manila during the Spanish era. Have an enjoyable stay there. See more of your explorations of the place. 🤗❤️

Dapitan is a historical place where our national hero was exiled Dr Jose Rizal and you can visit his place and museum too right at the beach. Beautiful place we called it “lo ok” which means an inside location where even during stormy days the waves are still small and safe for swimming

I don’t think it’s in Laguna,this Dapitan rbnb is in Zamboanga in mindanao I know cause I’m from Mindanao myself

It's not Zamboanga, it is Dapitan city, one of the cities of Zamboanga del Norte. If you say Zamboanga that means Zamboanga city. Zamboanga del Norte had two cities, Dipolog and Dapitan.

Wow! What a beautiful, cozy and spacious villa. I love the open concept design with many windows and high ceilings with beams. I remember the old houses that I used to see in the provinces there (Philippines) during my childhood. Beautiful structure there surrounded with peaceful nature......... ❤❤❤ Story is so happy around the bonfire🤩

Zamboanga is one place in the Philippines that's seldomly visited by typhoons.

"Zamboanga" is a different place tho, "Zamboanga" from Dipolog/Dapitan City (Zamboanga del Norte) is about 300km away (8-9 hours travel time) It is totally different and we have different border controls. Zamboanga Peninsula is compose of different Provinces namely : Zamboanga del Norte - Dipolog & Dapitan City Zamboanga del Sur - Pagadian City Zamboanga Sibugay - Zamboanga City & Isabela City

You spoke so strongly of helping rebuild. I thought you were gonna help rebuild your own home.

Yes! I'm from Tupi South Cotabato and I recommend Lake Sebu, South Cotabato...it's a place to go you can have lots of adventure there. They also have the highest zip line overlooking the seven falls. The T'boli Tribe will entertain you with their different cultural dances with their traditional dress/costumes. Experience also the different tilapia (fish from the lake) dishes and native (local) chicken tinola with watermelon. Then you can pass by General Santos City the place of Manny Pacquiao where good beaches are and in Saranggani too. Then you can go directly to Davao Region. Davao region has a lot to offer too. And from Davao you can go back to Butuan City. Hahahha that's a complete itenerary. Just a suggestion guys. Enjoy your travels.
