You sure you have to put the amount of cores +1 after -threads? I would think it's your threads +1. I got 12 cores and 24 threads so I did -threads 25 just to make sure

​ @Jett07 You can set -threads as high as you want, the engine will default it to the max available anyway. Also, cl_updaterate, cl_interp(+_ratio) and tickrate (servers have 64 tick) can't be changed in CS2. Otherwise good vid!

thank you for the information. i only followed some guides from the start of cs2 and they have those commands. i ended up adding a few more in the end from different guides ive seen recently.

what do shadow text width and height mean in game? cuz main were set to 3k and 2k and you said to use 518 so what is the "science" behind that

nothing about science involved? based on my experience, it just changes the render distance of shadows to extremely low.

You kind of need to be able to see other players shadows and your own if you're playing competitive because everyone else probably has it enabled

I tried it and for me it made 0 difference. This game is optimized so BAD. No matter what I try I get 30% cpu and gpu utilization at most!

Ye my gpu only uses 9-10 watts and its max tgp is like 70 w it get like 60w in lobby but in match it get down to 10w 😢

the editing of cs2_video.txt is literally the same as just changing the in-game shadow quality to low and it actually gives a huge disadvantage in compettive play the only possibly useful thing i got from this vid is the -threads launch option and im not even sure if its actually improving anything at all

there is actually a big difference between the ingame setting and the txt file. the txt file ver actually makes the render distance for the shadows to be extremely near which in turn is sacrificed for fps. sadly this video is a fps over competitive advantage.

When it comes to faceit, I'm not really sure since I haven't played faceit in years. With your GPU heating up, I suggest undervolting it. There are plentiful guides out there on how to undervolt your specific gpu.

My laptop is considered powerful. however the gpu and cpu usage is never going above %50. My max fps was around 90 in a deathmatch. Thanks to that video i am now playing with %20-%30 higher fps.

you can revert everything back. you can try enabling fullscreen optimizations since disabling it has caused issues for some people.

my fps is capped at 60 for some reason and my monitor is not 60hz

Try turning off 'Wait for Vertical Sync' in the settings (I know your monitor isn't 60hz but could be that)

yaaa no-- I ran 5 Benchmarks, with and without those launch options + config settings. (ing settings were the same already) And it showed 0% perfomence increase. So for me its a no and I have a budget PC already. I don't know who this is for then.

when i play, i only have about 30 processes. i am using ggos. i cant make a video on it but i am recommending that you search up how to install it. my original cs2 fps was about 120 without it tho with ggos my fps went up to 200-400. it is also better for a lot of games.

It absolutely is not 😂. A "perfect" sounding mic would be something along the lines of Shroud or Tenz or anybody with a nice clear mic, not this shit. This dude bass boosted his mic to try to make it sound overly clear and by doing that it's literally maxing out his input and making it sound like shit. A CLEAR mic sounds "perfect", a DEEP mic is heavily filtered and sounds disgusting. @@dahoodgaming628

@@Jett07 disabling fullscreen optimization is bad because not only does it make the game unstable, it makes alt tabbing take multitudes longer than with it enabled. the launch options you have introduced has nothing to do with "boosting your fps." mat_queue_mode???? that was debunked to be complete snakeoil back in 2017... im not even sure if it takes affect anymore. you are spreading misinformation, and its quite clear, because you didnt explain what any of your suggestions do and you probably cant justify any of them. looking through csgo subreddits and posts from years ago is not going to help anyone. its snakeoil and clickbait.
