Inochi no Namae (Piano & Vocal Cover by Hiiyori) - Spirited Away
Finally we are able to reveal the completed MV after one year in production. First conversation about making this cover was in June 2019. Right before our old studio had to be closed down. There are scenes in the MV from our old studio. Can you recognise them?
Fulfilled one of my long time dream to make a Studio Ghibli cover. Hopefully this is not the last. The whole team learned a lot from making this MV. From video, lighting, props, studio themes, audio recording, editing, scheduling, etc. A valuable and irreplaceable experience.
Some details of how this MV started.
I heard Hiiyori's cover on instagram and my immediate reaction is "WAHHHHHH" . I just had to ask her if she is willing to do a MV. She said OK!!!!
Originally we are just planning for all Chihiro’s solo scenes. That is why we rushed to shoot in our SS2 studio before we are forced to close it down. We recorded a lot of video footage even before we have any audio/song or a storyline. We were afraid we might not even have a studio to shoot in. BUT we are lucky that we are able to modify a lot of our new themes to suit this MV.
